Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

First Week Oberservations DIY WFH Hybrid happening.

During week one of back to the office in Charlotte I noticed folks there a few days a week and the rest of the time WFH, folks there during the AM and then leaving early and working the rest of the day from home. It was almost like a Do your own Hybrid .

Management seems to be keeping quiet for now. Just letting people be as long as they are online. Not sure what this means for the future.

Are others noticing the same?

This isn't true "hybrid", hybrid is actually working a couple full days from home and full days on site. People are still forced to come in because badge swipes are logged and reviewed. If the Bank finds employees are not coming to the office both they and their manager will have some explaining to do. So all the normal routines of going into the office still have to be done.

They're going to end this leisure after a month or so as more people trickle back into the office. Sucks, but enjoy it while it lasts.

Manager told me to "ease back into it" over the next 30 days and he is not looking to see if I'm in. He, himself, has WFH a few days already also.

Have heard that this is permitted right now per mgr discretion... my manager indicated that it was okay until he has to start tracking who is there. Whatever that means

Waste of money on gas, tolls. public transportation fare.

Probably no one is buying lunch or coffee or dpending money in the businesses where the surrounding hubs are since they aren't staying long enough during the day in the hub location. What's the point of RTO then?
