Exposure rules question

Exposure rules question.
Please tell me this is not true. I just heard that if you have Covid you get 14 days paid off which I totally agree with and it is paid time.
What is heard wa that if someone works in a financial center/ Branch and they are exposed or have an exposure and report it they have to be out for 3 weeks but it is unpaid. Plus you have to use your vacation time, sick time etc. Is this how it is now?
So if I was working next to someone that now has covid and I’m exposed I have to take time off which is smart but I have to pay for it. Please tell me what I heard is incorrect. How can people then tell the truth and feed their families.

Untrue, they did adjust the process to stop people from taking advantage of the cool off process tho. In certain scenarios you will need to use your own time. HOWEVER if you are exposed at work that is obviously covered.

I think it’s about time that adjusted the process, too many people have taken advantage of “exposures”

The craziest thing is if you are exposed and call SOACC they ask if you are vaccinated if you are, they allow you to go back into the office. Ummmm doesn’t BOA realize vaccinated also get covid? They are playing with fire

They declined my request to continue work from home. I asked to remain wfh because my son is 1 and don’t want to put him at risk. since vaccinated can spread it. He is in daycare but all teachers wear masks. If you have a young child “You Know” how often you get sick. I have never had so many sick days in my life. It’s like every other week we or baby catches something. So I will have to go to work with a cold. I can’t offered a $25 dollar test every time I catch something because it’s literally every other week with young children. They should allow work from home exceptions. I take a shower once I get home.

Well, I'd take that scenario a bit further, at home. You need an additional room to quarantine and keep the family safe. Stay inside, work, sleep, have food brought to you and keep safe distance and follow safety protocol when using common areas.

Everyone is so doomed. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated are getting sick and they want everything opened up like things are normal.

If I feel the slightest bit sick, I’m working from home, I’m not putting up with these expectations to be in the office with half the people being asymptotic and walking around infecting everyone.

Total bullish!t

This is crazy if it is true. If I test positive and I am out of sick time, I would still go to work to avoid lost pay and expose coworkers and customers. BOA has got to be the d-mbest fuhking company ever.

They don’t ask for a negative covid test. So as long as you take a quick test at the store and it’s negative just go to work. You don’t have to tell your manager. They will hold it against you if you have to use the emergency time. Even if they say they won’t you know they will.

this is a clusterfk. I really think it's about the team, the individual and the severity of the case.
I for one am new to a team so for me to take off 2 weeks or so is not ideal (just professionally for me) as i would miss out on a lot of learning points.

The bank certainly has not made this easy for anyone to care. This rush back to the office is an idio0tic approach. It makes even the most loyal people not care.
