Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Ruined career

I left HON this year after my manager did everything in her / his power to ruin my career including fabricating lies.

If I hadn’t heard a similar story from one of my very close colleagues and friends who also complained that his manager had ruined his career, I would have thought this was an exaggeration. It seems that such cases at HON are more frequent than I previously thought?

NOT a ruined career, if you left Honeywell.....that's career progression. I used to love Honeywell and spent 13 years growing into a Director role and ended up getting caught in the big RIF at the beginning of the pandemic. Best thing that could have ever happened. I don't have to deal with the incompetent leadership that Maddog has shaped around himself. Loving life after HW.....you should too.

I walked out the day I received a note that hr would be joining my one on one to discuss program milestone misses. This was after Leaders forced six engineers from DV onto my project with no valid reason for them to be charging. Skipped the meeting , wiped my laptop of personal info, reset my cell phone, drove into work and left them with IT. Gave my resignation by email from my personal account. Exit interview? Knowledge transfer? … not available. Blacklisted? Assuredly. Ask me if I care?

I have been happier ,wealthier , and healthier ever since working for a local financial. Much better benefits.

I understand they no longer put the hr person on the meeting notice so as not to warn the victim.

Make sure the HIPAC contributions are on time and from your pocket to buy more H1B visa or off shore to a low cost region.

Left Honeywell/ UOP in 2014. I was thinking about contracting with them after retirement. Now seeing how many of my friends have left and what they turned UOP into. The loss of prestige with customers has been huge, now I might consider doing contract work with the competition, Honeywell has lost their way. I think they will be the next GE.

They have to lie and fabricate failures in your employee review so they can justify throwing you in the elbow. They have to throw you in the elbow to meet a quota. It's unfair, unethical, and downright disgusting.
The only thing you can do is vote with your feet and leave. Who the heck wants to stay at a company that abuses their employees this way?

Once they don’t like you. Your career at Honeywell is over. I call their tactics career ending move.
You’re 100% correct. They do lie. Unfortunately for us, their buddies. Stand up for them. Even when they break company rules, state laws, and destroy your reputation.

I can’t wait to leave this place.
