Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I love AT&T and retail sales as a whole

Honestly if it wasn’t for working at AT&T I don’t know if would’ve found the motivation to finish my degree. every time I want to quit or switch majors I’d think to myself. “ just wait till you’re back at work” then I’d get to work, hear the same sh-t repeated over and over by management, see how managers love to encourage shady behavior but pretend they had no idea if someone got caught, see how many of my co-workers were just stuck there for years and years and just hating being there. Seeing that helped me keep pushing because there was no chance I was staying at AT&T for years, management or not. So thank you AT&T for giving me that strength, finally found a career and get to ride out these final 2 weeks.

Dude that two week ride is the best. All those times you had to sit and deal with “so-and-so’s” mess up for 3 hours while “so-and-so” gets to close more sweetheart deals…all those times managers offer promotions they won’t honor - all those times customer “care” tees you up for a poor csat score, all those “i ported 14 lines at the AR and none of them came over - plus i need 8 tb of data transferred” customers…they melt away into a puddle off which is reflected the vapid nature of retail phone sales

AT&T is a disgusting, horrible company but the retail side is the worst part.

If you have a college degree retail should not be your choice of a carrier. Unless you like dealing with clowns.
