Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Is the Dam starting to crack on RTO?

AB is at least more willing to talk about it more than CB.
I dont know if he's taking a soft approach to lure us back in then say this is the optimal approach or he will actually be a force for change.

Imagine what hybrid will do to morale and confidence in leadership to take employee concerns.

for an organization that like to tout the RISK FRAMEWORK
I don't see a pillar in there for a company responsibility for risky situations faced by employees, environment, etc.

What can we do to mitigate risk of flight risk, burnout and at the same time do go for the environment? hmmmm...i wonder what it is.

Classic leopards.ate.my.face situation...if they're such forward thinking strategic thinkers, how could the risk organization not mitigate this and let all the leaders know what to expect

Their we are an office company is getting old and ridiculous.
They will have to follow suit or get rolled by the moving wfh or hybrid trains.

Ans they want to say we are agile....like a snail.

Talked w/ a manager today who said 10-15 open reqs have been hard to fill and rumors in the chain of command that more people will be leaving, me being one of them. They have no idea what do do or why it's happening...lol.

I have heard of many groups that have already moved to a hybrid 3 days in and 2 days from home (or flopped). I actually only heard of a few groups that are not doing hybrid. Not sure how high up the management chain is aware but its been different divisions (credit cards to legal to corporate finance) which makes me think it is high up..

I honestly think it should be like one day a week or as needed or something like 5 or 6 days a month. If BAC cared about the employees or even the environment this could easily be done with 80% of the office workers and call centers...

Some of the people who had RTO dates on 9/9 in my area in CLT only returned to the office for a couple of days and many have reverted back to WFH until the rest of the teams return, which is believed to be early next year. Rumors are that hybrid is being discussed but nothing has been confirmed or communicated yet on that. Would have to believe that given the flight risk and morale issues that some type of office/remote flexibility will happen.

Aditya is another spineless one, pretending to consider hybrid model, looking into Agile (another sore subject) and other concerns. He knows what is the right thing to do but he would not do it because HE NEEDS TO SAVE HIS OWN A*S.

There's no change in RTO policy, not sure what you heard. Same message, different delivery.

In Texas, every day I usually come in around 7:30 and when I leave at 4:30-5:00 the whole parking area is cleared out already. Seems like most people are bouncing out early and not staying the whole day.

Based on the call today planning to taper my search for a new position. If he had pushed RTO hardline like CB then time to find new opportunities..

Based on the low amount of RTO in my area so far, I would say the message is being sent loud and clear that most don't want to RTO under the current environment and circumstances.

When the time comes when they do want to move forward with bring more back, it would be negligent in my opinion to operate with full offices (especially in an open shared workspace office). Seems to me that a hybrid work arrangement would be the logical decision to minimize risk and maintain some sense of employee morale.

BofA's approach to "listening" is saying, "a-ha, yes, okay, a-ha..." and doing nothing about it.
