In these days of tight budgets, we have an organization with a huge multi million dollar budget and with hundreds of 60+ year olds, called champions, existing only because application teams don’t deliver. And this organization is run by a bumbling id--t who can’t think, who can’t talk and can’t even follow audit rules. No wonder wf has regulatory problems. With managers like this, who are totally incompetent, and ignore audit aligned practices, how else can it be. This organization should be disbanded. All Leaders in Info Security —-take note. I urge you to listen and read this. This organization is of no use. Just get the Application teams to do their job, and it will be all fine. There is no need for this team of 100+ people. And you would have saved Wf a huge chunk of ongoing costs.

I'm going to bet (and give you odds) that there are more incompetent 21 year olds, then there are 61 year olds. I suspect the OP falls closer to the first age group.
Do not worry - all of infoSec is going to india.
Where the people there will only do whatever is told and scripted - 0 creativity.
And when trouble starts they will be the last to notice.
Last I checked hackers hit because they are creative and clever.
India is neither.
