Thread regarding National Oilwell Varco Inc. layoffs

People stay here shorter and shorter

It didn’t surprise me when a person who hadn’t been here even for a month gave notice.
Something like that used to be unimaginable but now I already know a few people who in a very short time realized how much of a mistake they made by coming here and left immediately. NOV is no longer a place where an employee with great potential would want to build a career and that is a bit sad. What's next I wonder, no one will even want to come here at all?

@2wsd+1cXcwWZk You are a total id iot dude. One day you to will be old and it will be you getting kicked out the door because of your "old ways"

Do you ever stop to think about what you are going to say? Might save you some embarrassment next time bud.

To balance the last id--ts comments. You need a good mix of people with age and experience as well as having new people coming through to take over. Without this the so called leadership would bring us to our knees even faster because new younger people are often less willing to share their thoughts and comments due to the bullying style of our leaders. This is why nothing changes because the leaders always think they know best.
Change the leadership and bring new people into these roles, people who have a more balanced view of how to manage and work with people to get the best from them.

It's the ones who have been here 10, 20, 30 years plus we want to get rid of! They are ki----g this company! They are set on doing things like their daddy did them, well no the world has moved on people. If we're doing what we did 5 years ago then our competitors have already moved on! This company needs new people.

WhydidntIthinkofthat. That's Clever

If the management are right, then F.W Taylor would be wrong.
90% of problems can be solved by management and only 10% from the shop floor.
Hmmm so what does that mean?
You know more than Taylor?
To really tell it how it is, I'll tell you a joke.
Why dont employees discuss their problems and frustrations to their management?
Because.......
You cannot discuss your malaria problem with a mosquito.

Perhaps there is a corelated association between unhappy employees leaving a company and the improved collective happiness of the company this very phenomenon is a step in the right direction for Possitive results going forward.
So to summarise my hypothesis if your an unhappy employee you need to leave to find your happiness and as a result the company becomes profitable again everyones a winner.

Ok Hi---r.
There is a obvious problem with unhappy employees leaving weekly. Soon there will be no one left. Go ahead hire some new guys, let me know how that works out for you.

Greengage is such an unpleasant place to work. Everybody is so miserable. And for good reason. The place is toxic. Many are looking for new jobs.

I know of several folks who are looking to get away from this place. I know of many who just up and quit. Ive never seen anything like it. As for myself, im just milking this old cow.
Preparing to sell a house and getting ready for whats coming.
Thats the total collapse of this toxic dysfunctional environment.
