No RDE, what! Many townhalls at Engines with many mouthpieces through the yes man ranks claiming we are spending more, highest spend level in yrs, no cutbacks, on and on, these "leaders" lie about anything.

Try harder and get it done faster
Isnt that what the new accelerator is for?
Very soon the spin machine will accelerate to a point where the work will get done even with zero RDE, no need to enginners like us anymore.
Bahahahaha

RDE, or zero RDE. You will probably still get asked by the boss why it isn't getting done. Then next week you will get asked again, etc. You will say there's no $$ and you will be asked to be creative or try harder. It's the Honeywell way.

RDE needs continuous effort since Aerospace programs are typically 4 years long. I was asked to write several technical proposals and all were accepted. When it came time to staff one of these programs there was no one with the required skills in insure success. So they just found bodies. I left (others followed) and all programs came to a grinding halt.

Yes, it would be nice to plan around keystone contributors but that doesn't happen.

1ugc,

Furloughs would be $uicide in the current red hot job market. That would be the last straw for many of us on the “I’m outa here “ fence.

RDE pull back is due to very poor commercial market revenue forecasts after COVID recovery. ALT didn’t listen to the Delta Airlines CEO in 2020 when he stated; airlines will recovery one year after the COVID recovery; which was Jan 2021. This puts Delta at a good return in 2022 and Honeywell at 2023. ALT financial forecast is 1.5 years too soon. Darius will ki-l RDE to make revenue targets… RDE will be cut every quarter and likely start furloughs.
