When (and do) they usually happen and are they anonymous or not?

Surveys are NOT anonymous! Completed a survey Jan 2021 at GCGV and was very frank with my responses. HR ran my response to my “dotted line” manager who then called my “real” manager with my responses. I was planning to leave and luckily got out ! Never complete a company survey unless you plan to just lie.
You’re crazy if you think anything done on XOM IT hardware or systems is anonymous. Mouse over the survey link in the email. Look at all those encrypted data. An html link to a survey site doesn’t need all that except for tracking who clicked on it.
They may or may not use your entries against you, or let your manager know who said what, but it’s definitely not anonymous in the true sense of the word.
US employees got a survey this morning about thoughts on the new “Your life at ExxonMobil” framework. This includes benefits. Everyone on here, PLEASE fill out this survey and in the free response portion give your actual thoughts and don’t sugarcoat it.

In the 10+ years I’ve been here, I’ve never once heard of EM conducting internal or external employee satisfaction surveys, nor have I ever heard of them being on any “best workplace” lists anywhere.
The US employees should be getting an employee survey sent out I think today so this post was ironic in its timing. I don’t know if it’s anonymous
I no longer trust the company. If you fill it out, assume it’s not anonymous.
