COVID-19 is here to stay. Too many people didn't take it seriously enough when we could have done something about it, and now we're stuck with it for who knows how long. We'll have slowdowns and new waves every so often. I'm not justifying sending people back to the office right now, but I also realize that if they continue to wait for a time when there is no more coronavirus threat, they'll have to wait forever. That's the reality.

I’ve been back on campus since last May — that’s May of 2020. Those of you with kids at home I understand WFH. The rest of you, y’all are pu----s. Grow a pair.
We were told to go back full time in February.
What the he-l are talking about? Everyone I know has been back for months and all the safety protocols are gone. Be glad you are still in a country where they are letting you WFH.
Also…majority of people are capable of WFH indefinitely…just the higher ups don’t want to admit to the new shift occurring in today’s job market
You really don’t though. You may have been conditioned to feel like work is only being done with us being down in the office and you are part of the problem. Businesses are really interesting, better than Exxon, we can employees working entirely virtually. There’s no reason for any office one. We required to go into the office to do zoom meetings every day. And no, that is not my suggestion to switch to in person meetings. Safety culture is a placebo at XOM.
In the US, we are in the office and all Covid safety protocols have been removed. Even the campus salad bar is self serve again. Just as with the deep freeze in February, EM does not acknowledge Covid. It doesn’t see Covid. In EM world, there is no Covid.
I’m not understanding this post. Are you in a country other than the US? We’ve been back in the office for months: they’ve even packed us closer together with restacks.
