Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

No RTO for me

I refuse to go backward. I'll quit even if I don't have a new job lined up before I'll be forced to return. If this is their goal and I'm playing right into their hands, I don't give a fu-k. There are plenty of options to choose from right now and I've already started looking. Remote work is the future, too bad the numbnuts who run this place can't see it.

I remember when they used to give you a lump sum check when you got laid off and you could also collect, they wised up, you now have to register right away with unemployment and you get paid every 2 weeks for however many weeks you qualify. And if you find a job they stop your severance pay. At least that happened to a couple people I know that got laid off in 2019. Not sure if that is how it is everywhere.

Can never tell on the internet if someone is serious or just angry-posting, but if you are, and you do (not RTO), then I applaud you.
