Frequently, 'randomly'. Without fail, after every extended vacation or after returning from medical leave.

30 years with the company and only dr-g tested upon being hired.

As a contractor, we were required to take dr-g tests at any time requested. I had at least one per year. It was always inconvenient to my work schedule, but unavoidable as part of the standard agreement to work there as a contractor. It was also humiliating for a non-dr-g user.

I was an op sup for international offshore deep water exploration ops (EMDC) until retiring several years ago. I was tested on a regular basis. I always played my EM career straight up, no dr-gs, ever. However, now that I am retired, my wife and I enjoy a jo--t every evening so I would not pass a dr-g test now. Ha!

Does EM still even test for weed nowadays?

I’m kind of surprised they do not do “random” dr-g testing. It would be a good way to further reduce headcount.

It's called SATCU - that's them.
Substance Abuse Testing Coordination Unit.
Whoever came up with that?
Guess they don't test for shrooms or buttons.
(Which gives me an idea for catering that next executive function - ha.)

I was in a so called designated position years ago but I have found work else where. We were subjected to random dr-g and alcohol test. Funny thing was that some of the people were taking speed for their adhd. They were exempt for amphetamines because of this. One guy came in smelling like booze in the morning but passed the test. Designated positions were people in charge of corporate desicions or in a position that could cause great damage to the reputation of exxon. Valdez captian example. If you have an accident at work they will dr-g test you as well.
