Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Rate Frank on Glassdoor

Please make sure to go to Glassdoor and rate Frank’s management. I’d say leadership, but he has none in my opinion.

Things to remember:

  • He eliminated the 401k match. It’s expected to return at a much lower March rate than before and it’s being invested in collective trusts opposed to regulated funds
  • He eliminated the stock discount program
  • Some benefits are expected to return in 2022. Oh, but employees are expected to return to offices before this date
  • He is mandating everyone return to the office during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC with cases rising
  • He is mandating weekly Covid tests potentially against employee’s will. Any lawyers out there that can tell me if I can sue?
  • He claims they didn’t fire anyone due to Covid although they let massive amounts of people go under the merger synergy category, highly suspect
  • He promotes the Back to Business program which is a marketing campaign to sell more Clover devices, lacks authentic altruism
  • He does not put the same amount of resources into diversity and inclusion programs for employees hence the marketing PR stunt
  • He completely eliminated the Living Proof program that allowed employees to give other employees up to a $1000 reward (legacy Fiserv)
  • He individually approves or denies headcount and WFH requests. I put that in here because I’d think the CEO had more important things to focus on which brings me to the next point
  • He is evaluating individual badge scans to see who is coming into the office and not. If you got a call or note from a senior leader recently that’s why
  • He DOESN'T TRUST employees and probably why he installed spyware on people’s computers
  • He cares more about his ego and perception and getting on Fox News than he cares about employees. Another reason I suggest you go to Glassdoor and rate him because he cares about those ratings for worlds most admired
  • He is a HIGHLY INSECURE man who is creating an unhealthy work environment and mental health issues for the sake of his ego
  • He promotes confusion chaos and conflict intentionally to see “who wins” which pits employee against employee. Sounds like the opposite of collaboration
  • Anything else I missed?

I’ll wait patiently for the anonymous unofficial yet official Fiserv response. JSUCK HR BRAND… go!

@2xum The return to office plan includes everyone wearing a face mask at all times. Don't count on that preventing anyone from returning. The only thing that will stop Frank is a lock-down and even then he may declare Fiserv an essential business.

@2cre - I bet the Oregon office will be WFH for awhile still: The governor just dropped a shiny new indoor mask mandate on the entire state of Oregon starting this morning, and continuing to mid-October.

Doesn't matter if you got the jab or not, you're required to wear the face-diaper indoors.

Here's another one for the list of Frank's failures: Forcing Chrome's homepage to FUEL in a desperate attempt at creating the illusion of "one Fiserv".

He must certainly be under your skin. I guess yapuki who got canned in favor of Frank must of had an even longer list, lol!

Wow, Fiserv was with Vanguard for decades. Obviously, I'm not with Fiserv anymore but I guess I shouldn't be surprised that they monkeyed with the 401K with all that has gone on. I really feel sorry for the frontline employees.

Fiserv moved over to Merrill Ly--h for their 401k. They still used Vanguard funds though but greatly limited the fund options compared to the past. Then they did this collective trust thing, I don’t know why they did it. Must save them money or something…

Google is your friend. The primary difference between collective trust funds and mutual funds is that CTFs are unregulated investments. They are not subject to the oversight by the SEC like the way mutual funds are.

I'm not with Fiserv anymore but am do you mean by "collective trusts" that Fiserv is no longer using Vanguard for their retirement?

FiStinker is definitely one to avoid. It used to be a respectable company but now it's all about presenteeism and employee monitoring; to Frank, you're expendable.

Hey guys, I am planning to apply for a job in Fiserv. Seems like not a good place to work. Lots of people are fed up with their time tracking tool i.e. Sapience.

Can someone help me understand the recent corporate communications about resiliency training? Are we being blamed for lacking resilience? Does Frank chalk it up to us being wimps?

It’s a dirty little secret but some staff members considered key are being taken care of. It’s likely one of your peers is taking in $200k plus stock while you’re getting small raises and 80 plus hours a week.

@fra You are free to negotiate...Make sure you are happy with it because you won't get regular increases...And Fiserv is not a fun place to work for.

@mxy+1chafIDi are you saying that there is no more salary + bonus + equity plan, but just salary + options? Options are worthless if they drop below the strike price.

I was considering a role at FISV despite the reputation issue but not for base pay plus something that might end up worthless.

Don’t forget he pays well below market rate and this is contributing to attrition and difficult hiring circumstances.

I’d add that he got rid of cash bonuses and substituted them with vested stock options. I’ll take the cash I deserve now thank you.
