My job is changing due to the restructuring of the management regime. I am pretty much being pushed around as I am valuable but I am not doing what I want I would like to volunteer to be laid off too. But I worry about telling this to my manager as he might not consider it and instead he will just torture me more. Has anyone gone to HR instead of their manager with good results?
I apologize to the author for copying their post into a new thread, but this is my question as well. Has anyone had such experience? I don’t dare mention it to my manager because I’m pretty sure I’m more likely to get myself in trouble.
