No they cannot see your age. I can verify that.
You can go online and find anyone's age. You can also get a full background check online.
Not only that, they get notified every year when your birthday comes round, so they can send out the congratulatory email celebrating the occasion, like they really care.
Yes. Managers with direct reports can see your date of birth. I had direct reports for 20 years. Info is all there.
In my organization, they started a new program a couple of weeks ago where HR provided leadership spreadsheets of which of their employees are MR75 eligible, and HR provided a script to inquire if you were leaving before the end of the year.
So if you are wondering if your manager is going to ask you if you are leaving because the Stink cut medical because he did not want to contribute $5B to the grossly underfunded pension fund, yes, and wanted a "free" way to get rid of employees, this question is most likely coming your way.
They can Google your name and find out.
They know how many years you worked for T and can usually take a good guess at your age even if they don’t know exactly. Also you can sometimes Google a persons age, try it.
Month/Date is available, some managers send birthday e-cards, as we were back in the 90s.
I work in a department where I can see your age :-) and I’m not a manager . Of course it is illegal for me to just randomly pull up that info, has to be part of business .
Sometimes in a relaxed setting/conversation/lunch they just ask you and tell them without thinking about it.
The Manager does not know the exact Age but he can guess a range based on Years of Service and Education.
