Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Tell me there are others like me.

I am afraid of getting a vaccine manufactured by Pfizer, a company that paid out the biggest pharma settlement in history a decade ago (Bextra dr-g) because they misrepresented what it does. They are also going through recalls of Chantix right now, as we speak, because of cancer.

I am afraid of getting a vaccine by Moderna, a company that has never brought anything to market.

I am afraid of taking a vaccine by Johnson and Johnson, they have the same evil history, just recently with the baby powder.

I am afraid of taking a vaccine that has a grand total of 1 (one) year of "long term history" behind it. The CDC all say "long term effects are incredibly rare with all vaccines!" But these vaccines are mRNA based and are brand new (except JnJ). How are we comparing them at all? It's like comparing a Tesla to a Chevy. Are they both cars? Yes. But before the skid plate, Tesla's could explode if a piece of rebar punctured the bottom at just the wrong angle. Over time, we learned this, now they all have a big skid plate on the bottom.

Now finally, I am afraid that the bank will say "take it or get fired". I have a family, two children. While I will be able to feed them for a couple years, it won't be forever, without work. And if I die or become disabled from the shot, they can't sue anyone, as Pfizer/Moderns/JnJ all have complete immunity. At least with COVID I can try and be careful and not catch it, or if I do I'm healthy and my age group is not at risk. I looked at the CDC numbers, the chances of someone my age dying from COVID is... Well, really close to zero. Below 1% by far. With the shot, I'm just exposing myself to risk guaranteed.

Is there anyone else here that is afraid of this? Anyone have any insight as to what the bosses are all thinking?

Sorry for the monster post.

I'd rather keep my good -paying job than to quit over a simple flu shot.

I absolutely agree. Same feelings and have been telling everyone who will listen. Add to that, that with the Delta variant the vaccines have proven to be a half @ss solution, that will “decrease the severity of symptoms” while still letting you carry the disease and spread it around to vaccinated and unvaccinated alike. The vaccine seems to give people this false security and they are now okay not to wear a mask while the virus runs rampant. The vaccinated are just an additional vector to carry the virus and a subject for the virus to mutate in. Already they are talking “boosters” in less than a year from getting the jab. This rush to market vaccine is horribly ineffective and not worth the risk. Meanwhile the CDC made a total political play by saying non-vaccinated don’t have to wear a mask in order to incentivize it. Immediately there was nobody wearing a mask anymore and states and businesses raised their mask requirements. Now they say even vaccinated should wear a mask. I go in stores nobody has them on. It’s a fiasco. Stay away from people, wear a mask, wash your hands, and try to stay safe out there.

You used the word afraid about a half a dozen, you are very fearful.

Fear is the path to the dark side

Got the vaccine as soon as it became available. So did my entire family and most of my friends. The only side effect? Not having to fear losing my job.

Yes. Absolutely. Anyone who understands data and risk should be in the same boat.
