Help - NA Culture

Is anyone else feeling like the culture in NA is in a rough spot? Lots of negativity, not really a learning culture. Anyone else having the same experience? Are other areas of the org more positive?

Supply chain is a mess in NA. Putting GT in charge of NA transportation?! We lost two great directors and he hasn’t a clue what he’s doing. Just KH puppet from MPO.

@Pqy glad you brought up analytics. The sr dir. Leading them is not at hq or on the continent for that matter - probably the most obvious political operator, and poor manager I've encountered at the swoosh.,

NA is bad, you’re spot on. Especially on the analytics/insights side.

Nike’s culture is in shambles. It doesn’t matter what type of public or internal front Nike is putting out there when their employees are this miserable. I am delighted to be one of these miserable employees no longer. During the last RIF, Nike made horrible choices about who they kept and who they let go. I’m still in close touch with many of my former colleagues, and it sounds like a nightmare across many functions. It also sounds like JD does not inspire the workforce that MP and his history with the company provided. Authenticity no longer has a home at the swoosh. Re-appropriating and, of course, turning the swoosh around will keep the product moving. Campaigns like “Play New” show the world that Nike can’t make the magic formula they’ve overplayed work anymore. The product sells itself, HR ki--s the culture, and let’s face it, barely anyone knows what you do for your day job, so do it well or not, your chances are probably about the same having that role understood by HR or your boss when layoff time comes around again. The person I was reporting to was never going to step it up, so Nike lost me. The irony of that person asking for my contacts to backfill the roles he was chasing people out of will be lost as well. I wish the right people had a clue about just how much smoke has been blowing up their as--s, and I wish I could be proud about telling people I spent decades at Nike.
