The ratio of people working hard and slackers

What do you think is the ratio of those who do almost nothing and people who really work hard?
It sometimes seems to me that for every employee who gives everything he or she can, there are 5 who work only the bare minimum.
I wouldn't worry about it at all if it weren't for the fact that these pretenders here are becoming more respected than those who are really working hard.

Always funny to me to hear non labor people talking about working hard and busting a-s. You trade time for money, that's it.

slackers or not, keep your skills sharp. looking for another gig, and interviewing process sux. better to keep this job and steady paycheck as long as you can. if you need to uncover a slacker along the way to feel better, then do so. just don't be a slacker.

I use to bust my a-s everyday. Until my manager asked me to start helping finish the slackers work also. Years later here I am, now I'm the slacker, doing as little as possible, only here to collect the paycheck.

1/5 to 1/4 sounds about right. The slackers are either old, D&I, or volunteer a bunch so they are allowed to skate by.

I consider myself a slacker but I always find ways to finish my work, with time to spare, using different tools, faster methods and not depending on others to get what I need. Access to databases, programs and information is the key (plus the knowledge to use them). When I finish a project, I wait until the last minute to deliver it, giving the impression that I'm working very hard. Always ask your manager for some useless input, that you really don't need, but it gives him/her the illusion of power and it makes you look like you're on top of things. Just be careful who you call a slacker or lazy 'cuz those guys might surprise you and put you to shame. BTW, you need to socialize and connect to others for various reasons, other than personal but that is kinda boring...

Actually, slackers get more respect working from office. They are good at trying hard to be visible, dressing up, making short talks, brown nosing.

Guess is 1 to 1. Different jobs you can't sit and do nothing. The more education and credentials you get the less you do. Busy call center jobs probably be working harder than 90% of us imo...

I agree that the slackers here get more respect than the hardworking. Again this is the most azz backwards company I ever worked for in my life. I have literally seen buffoons get promoted in this fuhk up company. We have a d-mbazz CEO having employees RTO in one of the worst pandemics in our history. I GUESS THE SHLIT ROLLS DOWN FROM THE TOP IN THIS SHLITHOLE OF AMERICA!
