Somebody mentioned there being some layoffs today, is that happening?

DNAC can't even archive configs on Cisco routers and switches. Something Ciscoworks/RME did 25 years ago. Customers need to use Solarwinds for table stakes management features like that.
Polish the tu-d and sell those EA subscriptions.
Fire the mid-managers and SD-WAN TSAs. Dead beats and dead meats. While at it, fire the SDA, DNA-C lumps of fat too. SDA does not scale, does not sell, does not work except on ppt. All that DNA box does is assurance which Solarwinds could do 20 years back. There are open source tools that we used to write modules in Perl back in early 2000s which could show the coveted “going back in time” ( woo hoo!) that all Cisco sales appear to be going nuts about during DNAC demos. Who designed such dated garbage solutions I wonder! Get rid of the fat, streamline, get lean and trim in fighting shape,
So much attrition going around.. look around, its like shredding hair out of a middle aged person. Why would HR bother for a layoff.. just tighten the budget strings every quarter and people would get frustrated for lack of promos/hikes and find a new job. Throw in an hiring freeze, and the group has to then pinch its pockets and prioritize its projects. As a result, low priority ones get ki---d, projects move offshore and existing people get overloaded. Repeat cycle from start. its a win-win for everyone. (except for us workers.. but hey when did that ever figure in the whole equation)
No layoffs on Fridays at Cisco, so this is plain rumors.
