In my many years of work here, I have never been less busy. That worries me a bit because I wouldn’t like to lose my job at this point. On the other hand, some colleagues say they are overwhelmed with work. As weird as it sounds, I hope to be overwhelmed with work again soon.

What is it with these companies hiring tons of redundant/duplicative positions? At adidas with the terrible germany/NAM relationship, there are tons and tons of duplicate roles that shouldn't even exist. They're even starting to outsource stuff to a colombia office as well as other providers and the internal employees are left with nothing to do. It makes absolutely no sense.
Idk, being vocally "overwelmed" is sometimes a cover in my experience. Hang in there
