Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Verizon

Why do people even complain about working here? The previous question is not something you need to answer; just something to think about. This is a very good company compared to the rest of the world's corporate. It's very difficult to find something better when working in a top place in the world.

Whining? It’s the VZW people from the planet of California that are whining. And this is not even the VZW board.

Too funny.

They should call this the Northeast Union FiOS Whiner board.

5th largest economy in the world yes, and?
Not in the VZ footprint, still a smaller business & residential marketplace than the aforementioned northeast megalopolis, you failed to mention about people wanting fiber-optic service (yes, they would want FiOS ALL over CA is it was avail, not just small pockets like Orange Co.) for their residence & business, let alone wanting a choice to get away from their cable monopoly, let alone not answering that nobody wants VZW anymore, other than dying off boomers, as millennials and younger continue to loathe VZW.

And you’re not a multi-millionaire. Just go to the wireless board and leave us alone.

‘I am from planet California. I’m just so important.’Thanks for the laugh.

I am smoking whatever I want since I am a multi millionaire with my California real estate. And yes I already said wireless goes to the low bidder. Learn how to read dude. Its 2021, no one is working in New York City anymore wireline dreg, we all work from home now. And in the 5th largest economy of the world in the most populated state in the country, union bloat VZ telco has ZERO presence. So put that in your pipe and smoke it. Later dude.

East Coast Union slug? What are you smoking out there in California? You should’ve never mentioned you were from California. And you did it proudly too for some bizarre reason. VZ wireless snobs always forget that the northeastern megalopolis with its 50+ million people, containing almost 20% of the entire population, the #1 economic hub of the Western Hemisphere, if not the world, with all the major lucrative big cities + sole responsibility for the oversized federal government in the DC area.

Nobody wants VZ wireless anymore, especially the lucrative millennial and younger generations. The entire footprint is begging for the superiority of fiber optic service and non- monopoly/choice, to get out of their 40+ year old cable monopoly. You still clearly don’t get it.

You really are not too bright.

The Northeast Area is a tiny footprint you dimwitted, uneducated, cr---h scratching, East Coast union slug.

Texas & Florida had tiny areas in their states that were part of the GTE-VZ footprint, you dimwitted, revisionist-history spouting California soyboy.

They also sold off Texas and Florida. Tell me more about tiny like your when you describe your intelligence. You sound like a libtard using words like nothingburger. No one loved the poor decisions that lead to AOL, Yahoo and Go90 except the White Witch of Narnia and she got her golden parachute and jumped ship leaving slugs like you behind.

“I live in on planet California”. lol good one. As if that’s supposed to command some sort of reverence & respectability. It certainly explains the delusion and being out of touch with what customers really want And because Verizon sold off their tiny footprint of GTE fiber areas (Orange County...yawn) does not mean it was a good decision, especially since VZW Teamers like you loved that great AOL, Yahoo, Go90, Huffpo fiasco and have been salivating over the 5G nothingburger these last 5 years.

I am from California lol. Please.

I live on planet California. Verizon union bloat telco sold off years ago. Northeast will be sold off next. That is all that is left of the prehistoric telco business.

no one gives a rats a$$ about landline??? huh? The huge metropolitan areas in a lucrative Northeast US market contains lucrative business and residential customers that are dying for FiOS in order to get out of their cable monopoly stranglehold that they’ve had to endure over the last 40 years. A fiber optic cable directly to your home or place of business is still superior to anything out there. The public has known this for 15 years now.

What planet are you living on?

And no, they don’t want “satellite services”, as was hilariously pointed out here several months ago.

nobody wants VZ wireless anymore. It’s not 2010. Millennials & younger hate VZW. It’s the dying off & aging boomers that use VZW. The so-called junior varsity (thanks for that one Lowell, you fool) carriers are catching up to us.

Oh, and the 5G gimmick that was supposed to take over the world within 5 years (according to the V Teamers here in 2016) sure hasn’t went anywhere, that’s for sure.

“ … do about poor morale, disengagement, and ineffective leadership at the lowest and highest levels of this company ?”
Wait you mean up to speed, the pulse survey, and meetings about action plans to improve survey scores arent doing it for you? Sounds like we need another survey or a new segment about behind the pulse.

Verizon is just a commodity to consumers so what's your point? Lowest bidder gets the wireless contract and no one gives a rats a$$ about landline except for the boomers that are dying off. Verlieson is an overpriced polished terd.

IT you're just a commodity we can purchase for the lowest price anywhere, so we are going to outsource you to Infosys.

You must have a time machine because this company hasn't been good for at least 10 years.

The ones who take time to complain still care about their jobs. The rest are just so burned out and disengaged that they don’t even care to complain anymore…just collect a paycheck.

The bigger question is what will leadership (or should I say ‘management’ since it seems that we are lacking true leadership) do about poor morale, disengagement, and ineffective leadership at the lowest and highest levels of this company ?

Hans is that you? You think Verizon Communications is good? It is a union Telco toilet.

Verizon Wireless was great until it merged with Verizon Communications and now it is a toilet too. Thank God for my STI's, LTI's, Profit Sharing and VAR's that were given to me as a wireless director. I was a millionaire by the time merger happened.
