Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Entitled Co-Workers?

How do you handle entitled co-workers that think/feel like they should be promoted (insert various reason) they don’t get said promo and they see the next guy get promoted and start acting salty? My department has a disgruntled employee who talks bad about the boss behind his back and is just all around negative. I’ve tried being understanding, sent him jobs that are recruiting for people with our skills and he won’t apply. He’d much rather keep talking cr-p and be passive aggressive. I’m now looking for another role because he’s getting on my nerves.

Had one of those around me for 2 years. Was toxic to the entire team and the manager was not empowered to do anything about it. Good luck!

We got one of those in our department too. Steer clear of this toxic bitter person. Don’t engage and if they try to engage you figure out a way to disengage.
