NSI - Health Insurance Claims

It is absolutely shocking to see some top performers got NSI'ed. Is there a secret formula HR uses to NSI employees that even the division managers have no control over? Is there any reason to believe that health insurance claim history may be a factor for NSI?

@1anu — “revolving door” suggests people are coming in too. It’s more accurate probably to say EM is a launchpad 🚀 or ejection seat 💺. People are leaving and they’re not coming back.

Is it really shocking? A lot of great people were forced into retirement. The reorg moved know nothing supervisors into manager positions if they were kissing the right a$$ and told them to cut people they don’t even know. Ranking was “changed” to give any reason to cut you. Maybe you don’t smile enough. This is not even based on performance. Do you say good morning to the right people? It is all kool-aid and the smartest people are jumping ship as fast as they can. XOM was a great company and they are turning it into a complete joke. It will eventually be another revolving door.

That up-voting master below @qgh must have the biggest psychological health bills in the history of the company. That is not an Executive.

Fact is, Retirees continue with the same health plan as you when they depart.
That's when they get the knee/hip/liver replacements. Cheap stuff.

More blurred tossem prumpery - OP.

@qgh+1cwykgxv that's interesting, cuz the few minorities we have also tend to end up mostly at the bottom of the lists

I have actually seen HR move a minority person up the list after all senior management anchored the minority under another employee in full agreement that this was the correct order based on performance. Rank list comes back from HR and the minority employee was more than 25 points higher than the person he was ranked/anchored under.

I have also seen an RE person ranked fairly high then final list dropped him 2 categories.

Basically after ranking list finalized by Supervisors, old people get moved down and minorities get moved up.

This is manipulation built into performance assessment system that is completely unrelated to performance.

It’s anyone’s guess these days. I know a person with disability whose ranking dropped when it was disclosed to the lowest ever.

Your supervisor and/or manager rank you NSI. The NSI quotas come from Dallas. HR is just a service organization. Sometimes bad news is communicated via HR, but don't blame the messenger, management makes all the employment and layoff decisions.

There is no complex conspiracy. It is exactly what you are told it is. Supervisors get in a room with HR and do they best they can to be fair with a cr---y system.

Nope... NSI candidates owned by manager.

No group would be that stupid to tie performance to insurance claims.
