If CWA 1101 is really fighting WFH, what’s keeping us from changing to IBEW?

Title says it all. We’re finally able to get away from the office pervs, racist’s, and sexists. Why go back to that garbage after a year and a half. I don’t want to hear the 20 some odd year rep give me advice on how to deal with 3 baby mamas. I don’t want to be subjected to Covid deniers and anti-vaxxers. I don’t want low class garbage hitting on me while I’m trying to earn a buck. I have the freedom to support myself safely, away from these low life’s, and not have to be in a dirty office. CWA must do the right thing!

You really should read what’s been said here the past few weeks. As well, try to find someone with screen caps of the deleted post that was here a week or so ago. It was disgusting and shouldn’t be associated with a work environment.

IF this person is being se-----y harassed and experiencing racism they need to report it to HR. Verizon has a zero tolerance policy towards that type of activity. No one should have to put up with that.

Now if the issue is having to put up with listening to “baby mama drama” and having to come to work then go find another another job that better fits your life goals. Im sure your skills and work ethic is in great demand somewhere else. Probably for better pay, benefits and working from home too.
I hear some professional video game players can make a lot of money from the comfort of their own living room. You may wanna give that a shot.

If WFH stays , you go . If you are new you are not covered under the iron clad no layoff clause . Wake up and stop help the company get rid of you . Are you that naive ? Verizon is not going to pay people the pay we get if WFH stays , they will use it as a opportunity to get rid of call centers . Be smart and don't let what you may like cloud your judgement .

Psychological projection involves projecting undesirable feelings or emotions onto someone else, rather than admitting to or dealing with the unwanted feelings. Based on your comment, you are clearly projecting how you feel. Make sure you keep that number handy when Verizon tells you your services are no longer needed and they outsourcing your position. Sounds like you will need it.

If your social life was Verizon, I feel sorry for you! Everyone I’ve talked to has better connections with friends, family, and coworkers. I truly feel sorry for you if your social life consisted of only going in the office. The rest of us have families, friends, and community’s with which working from home has helped us connect better with. You are the one who isn’t getting out and seeing the real world, from what I can tell. I suggest you go for a walk, or if it’s something serious, reach out to a doctor. From your rants, it seems you could be committing harm to yourself or loved ones. I’ll post a helpline down below for you. Truly, there is something wrong with you and you should seek help.

Do you know what actually saves the company money paying somebody $15 an hour without benefits without a pension and without Union protection When you work from home you are literally putting them on a fast pace to to Usher you out the door They can set up an entire Call center in the Philippines for the price of Your yearly salary Which by the way Is way more than your worth

As well, they hired techs in western New York. Don’t forget mid-Atlantic, they’ve been hiring a lot as well.
