Yep! They send our personal info to outsourcing companies all over the world, but our info is “safe” because some company rep signed a non-disclosure agreement…sick of it!

Like the 3rd party vendor in Jamaica that has access to customers who recently place internet / tv orders. They get a random phone call after their order is placed. The rep on the phone verifies the order number and details. This gains the customers confidence. Then, they say they need to re-verify the c/c used for auto pay or the deposit if needed. And the rest is history. Same scam every time with the same M.O. in that they are always Jamaican and they just need to verify. Lots of my new customers that place orders all get their c/c compromised this way and the company just turns their heads like an ostrich.
The stock price of Cisco is 2x higher, AT&T’s advertising agency is 3x higher, Apple is 5x higher.
By comparison, CEO salary of Cisco is $23M and stank was $21M last year.
I found all of this in 30 seconds from google after being mildly interested in the topic as part of being an AT&T employee. For all the time us lowly workers spend on metrics, why is no one from the board thinking about this? The company is paying the stink roughly the same as Cisco but that company’s CEO is delivering twice the performance to shareholders even with a chip shortage + whatever the stink will try to explain away. It’s ridiculous. Us regular folks don’t even get that advantage when someone is freaking out about numbers on a dashboard and stink gets to stay even though he clearly sucks at his job/leadership, and is a failure among his peers.
yep
