Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Don't plan on staying here long-term

This place is being run into the ground. If you're smart, you'll be gone before it's too late.

Lots of talent will leave (like myself), new talent will come in. A year from now, everyone remaining will have adjusted to the new normal.

How many people actually left or are planning to leave because of how the bank handled RTO? I'm not aware of anyone (on my current broader team or my previous team) left in the last 1-2 months. But when I talked to people who work at those companies that offer hybrid/fully remote options, they told me a lot of people from BofA or WF are applying and it's getting pretty competitive. Wonder how many people are actually looking for jobs like me.

Sure, but it's also Too Big To Fail. The absolute worst case scenario is getting laid off with no severance and losing out on any stock that hasn't vested yet. This isn't some mom-and-pop place where they might miss payroll one week.
