Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

J.D. Power

AT&T is so thirty for that J.D. Power award so they can add it to all their ads yet they don’t fix any of the core issues that might be why customer satisfaction is generally trash. Maybe fix sh-t like OPUS where a 5 minute transaction can take and hour cause of the sh---y system. Or the fact that if there’s an issue with a customers trade in it takes like 90 days or some crazy sh-t to get it resolved or the long af wait times for customer service. Things like that might help. Instead some dude in an office assumes the reason why they aren’t winning the award must be because reps aren’t meeting customers at the door fast enough, or calling them by their first name.

Also why do we need a RST? Maybe let us have the ability to do that in store.

JD Power awards can be bought.
Other consulting firms run the same racket.

Pop quiz: which one feted Randall as a "Legend in Leadership"?

All they have to do is write a big enough check.

Jd powers is a joke. Look at the cars they give awards to and then go look and see how many are still on the road after 10 or 15 years compared to the other cars they didn’t give awards.

Preach! Opus, scanners , no inventory, no fiber to sale but yet they do NOT listen to the front line reps! As well as over seas call center issue! Hopefully it passes to pull tax breaks to companies that has moved them over seas! Oh yeah, dont forget the Auth retail that we in COR have to deal with especially Wal Mart cr-p!

I looked in here on a lark after checking on my former employer. They are currently moving development positions overseas. They say there are no plans to move customer service/support but you at AT&T know that routine. My post isn't about that, it is about your comments on how bad customer service has become. I was a LONG time satisfied AT&T customer and my interactions with customer service were generally good. However I got talked into switching to Direct TV. One year later I was gone due to the utterly useless customer service received. The number one issue, DON'T LIE TO ME. At this point AT&T I wouldn't accept free service for anything branded AT&T. It is too bad that corporate can't see that.

Been going on for years. When I was a kid, I used to buy junkyard parts from an old man on the border of Duncanville & Dallas. When we went in, I found my part and paid $5.00 for an alternator and starter. My buddy needed same and bragged that his dad works for SBC and his price for the same parts were like $25. When asked why the owner said I've been screwed by SBC so many times and they cheat me on my hoot & hollar circuit - I'm making up for my losses. Turns out that junkyard owner had worked for SBC years earlier and hated anyone, everything to do with SBC - he was so ticked that he didn't want anyone's business that had anything to do with SBC. Same thing can now be said about AT&T...

For years I’ve never been upfront with information about where I work when meeting new people for that very reason. I just say I work in IT and leave it there unless additional questions come up and I am asked directly where I work. I got so tired of the grimaces and looks of disgust when mentioning I work for T. So many people have had such bad experiences with T customer service.
