Yeah, good luck with keeping what is left of you talent pool. This new forced into the office. Means you will have increased attrition (60% currently). I guess they want the record for the wrost company to work for in the world.

I'm in Lake Mary and my manager had a meeting with my team and basically told us point blank that we'd likely be expected to either relocate, or take the layoff package. We were told there is a chance we could stay longer to pass off knowledge and be given compensation for it but I'm not sure it'd be worth it.

When I quit HR could have cared less. All management does is lie to your face and stab you in the back. Management knows well in advance the stages of shutting down facilities and forcing long term employees to be forced into relocation or being fired from their jobs. If you are still working for this company it’s time to wake up and move on before HR informs you that they have a package for you and no job. Best thing I ever did was leave this toxic work environment on my own terms and my personal health is so much better. No one should be expected to work 6-7 days a week for 12 hours a day on a continuous basis for this POS company. There is no work life balance and the only decent part of any benefit is the PTO package if you are allowed to take it.

I'm in the office right now and I am literally just messing around and scrolling through TikToks all day. The best part? Frank can't do jackity about it.

Former Director here, before COVID hit the forced relocation was being talked about. Here were two things we were told:

  1. If an employee had talked about relocation previously don’t offer them a relocation package. They can pay their own way.
  2. There was no budget for the relocation money.

For those that don’t know a good relocation package will pay your realty fee, closing costs, send someone to pack and ship your stuff, provide money for trips to find a new home and give you a fund for misc. expenses. The really good ones will buy your house from you. These can cost a company $80-100k per person.

For the last year and a half, Fiserv has praised employees about how well they were able to adapt to being remote during the pandemic and how they didn’t miss a beat. Now it’s being required that employees relocate to an area that has a physical office or leave. Frank lives very close to the NJ office but others will see a 2 hour commute. So much for the work-life balance they promote. Being a global technology company, you would think that Fiserv would have taken the opportunity to be forward thinking and continue with remote workers. It pigeonholes them to hire the “best in class” worker to 4-5 locations in the US because someone has antiquated thinking.

For anyone being asked to move to Alpharetta you’re in for a shock. Yes, it’s a great location for the family. But because of everyone else fleeing places like NY the property prices have skyrocketed and there isn’t a lot of inventory. Even with relo assistance you’ll pay a lot for a house.

The good news is that there are a lot of other FinTech companies in the area, so that when you leave Fiserv you can find another job.

Can’t wait to hear the relocation package details, I bet it will be poor. Pay adjustments, here is 1.5% but don’t worry it’s just enough to push you into more expensive benefits, so it will be an overall decrease. Is Fiserv going to help your spouse find a job? Are they going to relocate your family? This greatly discriminates against married older employees.

I have been remote at Fiserv for 17 years. We had a culture that supported it (at least my BU did). Now my BU is gone, merged into another BU. Management has changed 3-4 times since I started. You would say “well the 2% raises stink but at least I have the flexible work agreement”. I think it kept quite a few people. It sure wasn’t a bonus or stock. Time to get out. Let these OFD sheep that suck out Franks milk continue to be blinded by him not knowing how much better things could be with a better leader (no that leader is not Jeff either).

Yep time to come back an office and yes nice relocation packages are available. In addition to pay adjustments for geography.

To the person that said your manager can overrule the wfh edict …. That’s not true! This is coming from the CEO… no more remote.

Frank does not allow remote employment. The exceptions people are speaking about will eventually be only sales. Don’t get your hopes up. The guy has a history that predicts what he will do, At First Data the first thing he did was slash all remote jobs and force people to relocate or take a package. He has an antiquated belief that you must be face to face, in person to be collaborative. We all know that’s a crock of cr-p. He’s just a mega control freak!

I work in an office in FL which closed during covid. We were all told we would be permanently remote. Last week we were told Fiserv is only keeping a few offices open and if we want to continue on our BU will be located in NJ and that is where we need to relocate. No dates communicated yet. Some positions will have exceptions but very few.

What is the significance of Oct. 4th? We were told we would be contacted by HR in a few weeks with details.

Remote employees must relocate, or you'll be dropped. Timing likely differs depending on department.

Will Fiserv pay to relocate me? I have been a top performing remote employee for over 16 years. I have not heard anything official yet. I wonder if this will apply to all remote employees or will there still be a select few that get to stay?

What about all the office they closed and made people work from home. Thinking of San Antonio, Austin (OFD), Waltham, Flint, Hawaii and I am sure many I missed.

JP Morgan does it so then Frank must too? P.S. The clients could care less about where employees work and anyone who says differently is full of it. I work with clients everyday.

It's nice to know when I quit that fiserv HR clearly thinks 1 week notice is acceptable.
