CSR is one of the worst places to work at period. No class, no talent, just a hotpot of filth.

No closing of Annandale, yet. The shoe is still hanging by a thread. 1-year contract continues. No pressure/stress. LOL

The biggest waste of time. Doubling down on the use of O&G in the future. Typical EMRE BS.

@3dnv+1d378loK Probably a 15% will be moved to Houston. The rest can be dropped like a sack of rocks

@3nvb+1d378loK With the additional downsizing. The campus can Airbnb other companies for office and lab space. Such innovation and coporate breakthrough

It is an educated assumption, along with insider noise and outside market logic, that some plans are in progress with downsizing 10% per year for the next 5 years in mind. Anything that helps cost reduction is on the table. A forum always has its agenda, being subtle or not. Always read between the line and tune in with external market discussion. Exxon is never a sentimental company, just look at how the past cost reductions were carried out. So put yourself in a business owner's shoes like this one, and it is not difficult to see what it is that you need to be prepared for.

Gone with a single cut please.
The fancy word-slicing and dicing is for politicians, not EM managers.

Talley was the GREF (now E&PS) VP when most of the organisation was outsourced to CBRE. Just saying...

Let’s just finish off Clinton, New Jersey site for good. This place hasn’t produced anything useful in last two decades. All it has seen is retiring and departure of few good employees from 80s.

Young and mid career employees that were hired at CSR in last two decades are sub par and demonstrably useless (just look at their output and “real” impact from any CSR in house work and it will be obvious that output has been nil).

Listen very carefully to Mr. Darrin he is coming to relay a message in code and read the tea leaves. With the shrinking of R&D tax write-offs and the high cost location Clinton offers plus the fact that nothing has come from this facility for years I expect bad news. The recent decision by the Judge -arbitration on contractors is major, and the contract being dragged out is very suspicious XOM is ready to vacate this site. The cost of the NJRSC relocation (failure) is peanuts in the big picture YL and her leadership team are in a coma. Watch the tap dance..,,Be prepared.

If ya'll hadn't heard, corp tax write-offs for R&D are being severely reduced in US over next few years. The write-offs were the sole reason for XOM R&D for the past decades. Certainly not to find anything new and carbon-evolutionary.

Whenever there are write-offs or subsidies being reduced, XOM will evacuate.
Without these, it will be hard to do anything but trade crude futures and dividends.

This will be the gist of the EMRE presentation.

He’s going to announce a battle royale cage contest and a ladder and tables match for a chance at the intercontinental title at Wrestlemania 69 ! (Anyone else noticed his resemblance to the WWE boss ?)

Seriously, though - don’t believe a word he says.

I remember a forum he held (by Zoom) in late May or June last year. That was the infamous forum where the EMRE Strategy & Planning Manager paraphrased all of the “difficult” Slido questions for him, completely changing their meaning.

At that Zoom forum, he categorically said that there were no plans to downsize the workforce (in response to a question relating to the increase in the NSI percentage from 3% to 8%. The very next day, Bloomberg broke the story about the targeted 8%-10% reductions in the workforce.

He’s an executive manager. He didn’t get there by telling the truth.

The Clinton R&D experimental equipment and staff can easily be consolidated in Baytown, Texas or even outsourced to a 3rd party.

Any non-experimental staff can be relocated to the Spring Campus in The Woodlands.

Texas isn’t so bad. Please post the link for the equipment auction site. I expect Mr. Talley & YL have had a raise in the last three years. Not sure Merck has an office in Texas. Management lies!

End of Annandale needs to occur - the executives holding the forum are mere puppets with no vision and thoughts on their own. They are there to regurgitate what the upper men want them to convey to what they perceive as their slaves in Clinton.

Importantly, it is important to get rid of fake employees at CSR for good. Unfortunately their bogus stink is strong and many will be absorbed by other organizations only to poison new wells. CSR employees sit there and struggle to add 2+ 2 as 4 but run around pretending that they are working on useful high end problems.

I don’t have any direct knowledge but there’s been a lot of reorganization swirling around in here and the F&L capabilities study results we’re supposed to come out in June snd it’s now October so something seems to be hush hush until it’s time. Really thinking the end of Annandale is closer than some think
