Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Wonder why employees are leaving

My whole family got COVID in different dates. MOH told me to come back sept 27

My Boss did not agree and call MOH to change the date for me to be back on Sept 20.

That is how “we are Exxon” treat their employees

Wonder why people are leaving!!!!

Just to settle the air - which is circulating every 2 hours in a good place:

this OP had some reasons to be concerned that the Company (and it's most powerful representative, his Supervisor) has too little concern. Or is unconcerned.

I'll sumrise my own experience - last year in late June 2020 - when this thing was virtually uncontrolled and dizzy.
My Supervisor: "We're reopening the site in early August. Will you be willing to come back to the office?"
My Self: "I'm not sure, Nickname. You and I've discussed my wife just finishing her chemo in December and we're a little concerned."
My Supervisor: "Yeah, yeah. So you won't come back to office. OK. Thanks."

Of course, no one came back to the office in August. Or for long time after.

I am still with the Company. Can you believe it?

"I got the vax because I’m responsible, so you won’t give it to me." The vax does not keep you from getting COVIID, nor does it keep you from getting sick. Someone needed to do more research or let some time pass, before becoming a sheep and getting vaxed.

Either quit whining or quit. You and your family should have gotten the vax and wear two masks. I got the vax because I’m responsible, so you won’t give it to me.

There are some sups/mgrs that do this. Some it could result in law suits. MOH is there for a reason.

I doubt this is a troll post at all. I’ve had very similar experiences.

Is true. MOH stil go with whatever the business wants. The company does not care about employees.

Probably not a troll post. But clearly not a U.S. employee.

No manager will rule against MOH. If you got it in writing from MOH, it will stick

As a manager that has had to deal with MOH on covid release timing, I find this extremely hard to believe. They are rigid on the quarantine requirements with no deviation.
