Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

BOA is the worst company in the world. This company is risking employees lives in RTO fiasco.

MOyRnONhan is so damn weak in the handling of the RTO. He has no backbone or shown leadership in this pandemic. This company is being run into the fuhking ground because of the incompetent leadership. Talented employees are leaving and going to competitors who have embraced the WFH agenda.

Bank of America is risking the lives of those who work in the office? Does that mean Walmart, Starbucks, CVS, grocery stores, fast food chains, restaurant's workers are risking thisr lives by being "on site" at their jobs AND coming face-to-face with the public evry minute? Why surelt the virus thrives only at the office fice at BoA.

This is definitely not the worst company I ever worked for. And I have to say that the bank used to actually be a good place to work. It isn't any more. The company has gotten progressivily worse since 2008. I used to tell folks that the bank was a good long term career place as long as you negotiate the right salary coming in (the bank was never good with raises for internal folks). But now I tell people that ask me to run. Only come here if this is your last option available and then use it as a stepping stone because they will certainly use you as much as you let them.

The bank has cemented their official position that the potential for spontaneous water cooler conversation is more valuable than employee health. They could have come up with a better smokescreen to eliminate head count. This just looks silly and amateur.

Right. That’s all we hear is Risk Management for the bank, unfortunately that’s not the case for the employees.

I saw Wells Fargo pushed RTO into January 2022. There is a health risk and BOA is deciding their need to see butts in chair is more important than employee health.

I don't think BOA is the worst company in the world. I've worked for worse.

BOA is showing they will risk employee's health for a directive that meets a vague business strategy. I think it is similar to asking construction employees work with out a hardhat. Maybe nothing will happen, but why the risk? Risk management is supposed to be a top priority at our company!
