I'm afraid we might lose more contracts

(...) We around lost two contracts. These people aren’t qualified. All they know how to do is push parts. Who cares about quality anymore.
We also have to work more Saturdays, and Sundays. In order to push more parts. They have no more days left in the calendar. In order to recover from record rework parts. No degrees, no qualifications, and learn as you go. Resulted in leadership who only solution in order make deadlines or should we say quotes. Increase overtime and streamlining processes. Very sad day honey well.
The worst I have ever seen it here. I have been working here for almost ten years. Expect more contract losses. We will have orders that are late. Because we pay our suppliers ever six months, and don’t receive their best parts. They go to people who pay monthly.
My place has a special room to inspect supplies parts. 100% of our supplier parts. Now I have to be inspected. Which slows down in production even more. (...)

I absolutely agree with everything the original poster @4dre+1cYRxJY8 wrote. It wouldn't surprise me at all if HON was to suddenly lose more contracts in the coming period? That would be a disaster.

Why do you think design will remain in HON?

What I see is contract design and manufacturing and badging over with HON red.

Sales and service will be contracted out to third parties. All HON will do is ‘manage’ the product line.

I think that Honeywell will follow the same path over time as
General Electric company and stock have,
by remaining adherent to the idolized Welchian & Cotean policies -
offshoring, 9-blocking, PIPping, etc.

Yes,
Honeywell can live in perpetuity,
following the grand GE arc of success,
in a similar TWD state of existence -

  1. e. The Walking Dread.

Getting rid of all the older experienced employees and replacing them with PFY
(Pimply Faced Youths),
and having no budget for doing any proposals at all,
should help jerk the company along the GE-style path to the future.

Honeywell will remain way past our living years with aerospace still a formidable portfolio in their books. The landscape of manufacturing will change where the parts will be manufactured by 'strategic' partners while the design and selling of the hardware will still belong entirely to Honeywell and thats where the cash is at. Long gone is the need to build facilities to house and train people costing millions and billions on equipment to produce parts costing $100. Don't kid yourselves that Honeywell is going under. Its all part of keeping up with the changing times where big corporations just rakes in the dollars without owning any sweat shops.

@apn+1d3UdrGu. Here we go again. Another bold prediction about the demise of Aero or Honeywell. Yep, you're right. this $15B business unit will probably go out of business. What do you think, nn the next 2 weeks?

The Aero division is on the way out. No interest in growth or investment in anything. Focus is entirely on closing sites, selling real estate, and reducing U.S. manufacturing. No future to shape here so don't be fooled.
