Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Termination advance warning

Just received an email to update my personal email address in my teamwork’s profile— Ive had my wf email as my personal profile email for 16 years- I can only assume that this is an omen of my name being on a list to received my package soon- can anyone confirm

Ibgf+1d4T6JsI I know this was not your point. But while you touched the matter, this is a very well viewed Layoff site. Probably a little under 1K a day. Decent posts get over 2K views in a relatively short period of time. This is a substantial site and we have to know darn well that Wells views it.

@sgd, same stupid response from people that stalk this site. Many people only visit this site once in a while. That is why they haven't seen any of the previous posts about the HR request to update their personal e-mail address.

Too bad you have nothing better to do than stalk this site and put people down.

I'm glad they leveraged that contact information yesterday when the entire network was down.

It’s important for them to have personal contact information for everyone in the company. For the sake of business continuity, they need a way to contact everyone if WF email went down. I wouldn’t sweat it.

This sounds harsh, but I mean it kindly. Please quit being so paranoid. It’s terrible for your health. You had a WF email in a field specifically marked for personal. They ran a query and asked you to update it. Plain and simple.

Yep, that’s definitely the reason. You nailed it.

This is just a simple query pull by a system that checks your corporate adderess and if its the same: auto messages are sent.

Ignore it

That's interesting. You'd have to figure they had some math that would lead to a decision to lay someone off. I've never bothered with mine either - I just do the training I'm assigned and ignore the rest.

I'm fairly certain I was let go a few months back because I had not entered anything in my Talent Profile, so it appeared I wasn't performing my job. I suggest filling Talent Profile with all sorts of stuff, so it looks like you have strong skills and are busy.

It's like groundhog day here. Same stupid post about why my work email address is not my personal email address.

HR is updating files and asked anyone who didn't already have a personal email listed on teamworks to add one. OP, unless there's another reason to worry, don't let this one get you down.

I received the same. I figured they were just wanting an actual personal email in there.
