60 days unpaid leave

I didn’t quite understand the whole story with the possibility of 60 days of unpaid leave so those who haven’t been vaccinated could think about it. Is that true? Why does everyone mention it?
I can’t believe T would be open to such a possibility.

60 days with no pay is a gift from the company. Termination should be the result at this point.

Don't strike. Too much work. Just be your lazy self and whine anonymously. Your formula for success.

If they can't agree on the vaccine then the Union needs to call a strike. The management is poorly trained to fill in and they will buckle under. STRIKE!!!

Suspension doesn’t affect your NCS date, but going of payroll will. Suspensions are disciplinary actions, so I assume they will go on your record and can prevent you from bidding on jobs.

Will the 60 days suspension change your net credit service date?

At this point, so what?

What I gathered from the email that the Union stated itself “ was the Union has no say on the what the company does”. So what’s the point of joining the union and paying dues”? Also, if the vaccine ki--s us, can our heirs sue the company? My spouse would lawyer up in a hurry.

People,,, read the policy and FAQ!! You are suspended without pay and have 60 days to get vax or get fired. It’s not difficult to understand, it seems pretty clear if you just read it

The union doesnt strike during contract negotiations. They are not going to start now.

The only thing we can do, as the earlier post mentioned, is ask for a refund on some of your dues. Money always moves the union. Lets have them move our way for once

It will take 2 or more of you lazy union workers to replace me.

Maybe some slack will clear out and some good folks will get hired. I’ll roll out the welcome mat for the new ones and help the non vaxers pack. If you think you cannot be replaced your mistaken.

Hey I'm glad they gave us the whole plan upfront. Now I know when my end date is. Why should I give a damn anymore?

I'll ride this train for 5 more months and make them keep me on the books while I take 60 days unpaid leave as a vacation.

Don't tempt me with a good time, I've been saving for just such an inevitable occasion

It's probably an attempt to stave people out. They're thinking that placing food on the table and paying the mortgage will coerce some to take the jab and come back tail between their legs.

I will not.
