Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Unfair raise practices continue

I think everyone in this company deserves more. Not just more money, but more respect in general. So it's not a jealousy issue here. The problem is that there are a lot of people who also work very hard but who are not among the chosen ones to get a raise. How will this affect their morale? Very badly, I would assume.

They just want long term to quit so they no longer have to pay medical benefits. It serves them to have all associates on Medicaid and food stamps.

@wwr+1d5DijTD I agree 100% with what you have said. It is very disheartening to see new people come in and get paid the same as someone who has been there over 10 years or more. Those are the people with the knowledge, not these new people. They hire right off the street and on the front end they base their performance on the number of credits and upgrades they get. Praises are yelled out over the radio, which is ridiculous. If you don't get the numbers, they treat you like an outsider.

Home office should be ashamed. I suppose the goal is 109% attrition. So that no raises, benefits, or bonuses ever gave to be doled out.

Its terrible how all the associates who have years of service are being treated. Just offer severance to them now bet they'd most all leave. This company is not the company of years past I wouldn't recommend my dog to work there. I use to love my job and going to work each day now I dread every minute I'm there. Wake up Sam's club your running your business into the ground.

What’s happening is that they are giving raises to all new hires while the veterans aren’t getting anything. That’s creating friction because you got someone who’s been there 10+ years making the same as that 18yo kid who just started last week. They aren’t taking care of their long term associates. But maybe that’s what they want in order to get rid of the long terms so they have all new and fresh associates who aren’t trained properly and are on their phones the whole time! Just my guess!
