Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

This will soon be a completely different company

My opinion is that all they do is try to figure out ways to get rid of the people who have a lot of experience and knowledge and to bring people without skills and experience in their place. Admittedly, Fiserv is not unique in that sense, many other companies do that as well, but here it is becoming more than obvious. And then I wonder where this company is headed and what it will look like in the future?

I've got my workday planned out for tomorrow...

  1. 8-9: Mess around on my BYOD... it is my device, after all
  2. 9-10: Break #1: Go to the breakroom and mess around on my device some more
  3. 10-11: Bullsh!t with my colleagues about how Fiserv is losing clients by the hour
  4. 11-1: Lunch
  5. 1-3: Space out during pointless meetings
  6. 3-4: Break #2: Exercise is important! Get up and walk around the building and bullsh!t with people outside my own team
  7. 4-5: Get some work done

Fiserv is wrong at so many levels with this move. Dinosaur mentality in regards to working remotely, will have consequences.

Update your LinkedIn profile and picture and look for a new job of you aren't happy at Fiserv. If things don't work out with your new employer perhaps you can come back to Fiserv.
