Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Over worked associates

In our club, mgrs work 5 8hr shifts while people in fresh areas are working 50+ because they’re so short handed. Just doesn’t seem right. Yes they get OT but why aren’t mgrs stepping up and helping!

At least your getting over time in my club we are expected to have the same production as if were staffed if not more because God forbid our product is less than 3 high

Fortunately in our club we have great managers because if we had to depend on leads we would be screwed. Our managers always are on the floor helping members and associates. The leads hide out and do their best not to answer any calls.

We have managers that stroll in whenever and leave early. Either the club manager is part of it, which has happened at our club, good luck seeing him unless there was a visit, or, they do it when he isn't there. It's not like they clock in and are accountable for their hours. Then you have the ones who never leave the office. And as they leave you're like.. I had no idea they were even here. Never heard their voice or saw their face all day. Is how it is at some clubs. Leads at some clubs I realize may suck. But I promise you that is not the case at all clubs. Some of our clubs are only what they are because of the leads doing it all. You get texts or emails or maybe a 5 min chat with the manager about everything that has to be done. Then... Good luck. Some clubs are ran by leads. This is how they get away with things. They are lucky to have strong leads and good associates.

How is that even possible, managers work five ten hour days with one hour for lunch totaling 45 hours per week. I cannot fathom a CM would allow this to go on in their Club. Does the Market Manager ever visit the Club?
