Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Keep Cool!

My advice to all you feeling the anxiety of positive moves, return to office, etc…would be take it down a notch, be flexible and open, don’t make rash decisions you may later regret.

I don't regret my decision at all. I realized I was grossly underpaid, cash bonuses do still exist, and some companies didn't cut any benefits due to "Covid". Thankful I found my "next' somewhere other than Fiserv.

Clearly they are in HR or upper management and are trying to still feed everyone the kool aid. The OP can go f*ck themselves!

The only rash decision here is going back to the office.

Keep cool. As the ship sinks, they will have the band keep playing to help us keep our cool.

Getting two weeks to decide if I want to uproot my family, sell my house and move thousands of miles across the country seems rash to me

The employees aren't expected to make 'rash' decisions that could impact the bottom line of the business, but the business should be able to make rash decisions impacting the financial viability of willing and compliant employees.

See how it works?

I can assure the OP - no one who has to feed or house a family makes 'rash' decisions about their employment status. Most people survey the lay of the land and make rational choices that entails an acceptable amount of risk and reward.

The fact that there are people whose job it is to conjure saccharine PR on an anonymous forum is completely unnerving.

I'll keep cool by spending my afternoons on linked in looking for a company that cares about me.

Ignore the water rising above your ankles. The ship is not sinking. Do not make any rash decisions about leaving on a lifeboat. The water rising above your knees is nothing to worry about.

Gotta love all of the motivational HR posts flooding this board lately. Don't worry, I'll keep cool by messing around on Frank's time and trying to make up for the stolen 401K match (and now, gas) money.
