Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Who's ready for another great week at Verizon?!?!

Bullying, micromanagement, backstabbing coworkers, having to do other people's jobs, and all that for subpar pay! Can't wait!

If you don't like the job, leave. It's that simple.

If it's not your dream job or your chosen career, just leave.

All it takes is a little courage. There is so much whining and mean behavior on this site.

Why would you let this job that isn't your dream job or chosen career steal your peace of mind?

I don't know you. None of us on this site do. We would all like you to simply shut your mouth and stop whining. If you don't like it grow a set and leave this is not a prison sentence you're not forced to stay here. Thanks for calling have a nice day

Don’t listen to this cr-p about a positive attitude. If you hate your job this much, there has never been a better time to find a new one. Go find what you want to do. If I knew 30 years ago how much this place would change for the worse, I would have done the same.

When you feel that going to work is a terrible thing, the best thing you can do is realize you write that script, and you can change it any way you’d like.
I’m not talking about quitting. I’m talking about attitude. It’s so simple it’s nearly impossible for some.
In your own personal list of priorities, make your job last on the list. Just something you have to do, but you don’t have to invest any part of yourself. Just do the day, do it well, and focus on what is your top priority.
If your list of micromanaging, backstabbers, etc is all you have, I would point out that you are choosing those things.
Re-write the script, and write it so these things are not part of your plot. Does that make sense? You choose what you dislike as much as what you like. You’ve chosen the wrong things. Today, try it. Focus only on what you really want, and ignore all the cr-p that gets thrown at you. Don’t choose to catch any of it. Let it all drop. It isn’t a psychological trick, it is just a simple way to synthesize happiness, which is what our great big brains do best. Why not utilize it?
