Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What's going to be the hot button this week?

Are we still going to be stuck on vaccines? Or maybe, just maybe we can get back to the important stuff, like layoffs? Attrition? Lack of raises and bonuses? Is that too much to ask for?

Here's a different one...have you seen the latest publicity shots of the new HW palace in Charlotte all lit up in multiple colors at night? Aside from what the building cost (as they close facilities all over the US), how many raises and benefits could they reinstate for the price of a month's worth of night lights?

I realize that you are part of the obtuse Borg collective, but nullification can take place at any level, be it city, county, state, or federal. My school district has unilaterally established optional face diapering/jabbing, and told students and bus drivers on federally subsidized transportation that they don't have to abide by Comrade Xiden's mandates. Last I heard, 61% of U.S. counties are now 'Second Amendment sanctuaries'. Do us all a favor and go back to @libsoftiktok...

"The Los Angeles County sheriff says he will not enforce the county’s vaccine mandate in his agency."

@5mys: Yes the LA county sheriff is refusing to comply. See the link. However it's a Los Angeles county supervisors mandate and not part of the Biden federal mandate. It has nothing to do with the constitution's 10th amendment for states rights or your claim to "enforce unlawful/unconstitutional orders". Once again, it's a county mandate. Let's keep up here.

@5ker
It doesn't matter if nullification doesn't fit your definition or agenda because it is actually happening at an increasing rate under the tyranny of the current Regime.

Sheriffs are the chief/elected law enforcement officers in their respective counties and they took an oath to not enforce unlawful/unconstitutional orders.

Now states, counties, and cities are nullifying anti-2A, abort.ion, mask & jab mandates, and you won't be able to stop us.

This is the 10th Amendment in practice. Come and take it...

@4doj, Joe Arpiao found out what happens when one goes from being tough on crime to participating in a crime.

Presidential pardons come with an explicit acknowledgment of guilt. He tried to do exactly this kind of legal end run on his own and got his a-s waxed.

@4doj, Right.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nullification_(U.S._Constitution)

“Courts at the state and federal level, including the U.S. Supreme Court, repeatedly have rejected the theory of nullification.“

Nowhere is there a fact that supports Sheriff’s get to nullify laws. You can’t bring a definition of legal nullification that supports your position.

What you think the SCOTUS is going to do is irrelevant.
Sanctuary Cities are irrelevant whataboutism - in that case the state is trying to end run federal law - as per the definition of “Nullification”.

@4ysv -- wrong. SCOTUS will strike the mandates down as unlawful/unconstitutional, but nullification is what happens when states, localities, and the highest elected official in their county (Sheriff) refuse to enforce federal edicts. This has already happened with so-called "sanctuary cities" for illegals & Pro-life, 2nd Amendment jurisdictions. The @libsoftiktok might help you...

@4lcc, nullified is when a court strikes it down. This is a sheriff not doing his job. HUGE difference.

Well the big-wigs announced a 5% increase in the dividend.
Did any of you get a 5% raise this year? Will any of you get a 5% raise soon?
Yeah, I didn't think so.
You'll just be told to pull harder at those oars.

@ibz: Yes it seems Dec 8 is the cutoff date for employees working for federal contractors to be fully vaccinated with no option for testing.

@cva
Those deemed working for federal contractors will NOT be allowed to opt for testing over the Jabs x4. Do us all a favor and get off Tiktok.

@jaz: The Pres. Biden mandate allows for the option to employees of weekly testing in lieu of the vaccine. Simply put, the vaccine IS NOT REQUIRED for continued employment if you meet the weekly testing requirement. This has already been discussed ad nauseam on this site. Let's move on.

Regardless of politics or opinons, the executive order jab mandate will have a major impact on the supply chain and the labor pool. We're already in a precarious position and th jab mandate could cripple the ability of companies to conduct business. We just had a preview with healthcare workers. Stock up ons supplies and don't get sick. It's going to be one helluva ride.

Quarterly earnings and stock price is always on the hot board. Dividend increased therefore there must be high cost region layoffs.

This should be obvious, but there will be no larger layoffs, RIFs, and attrition at HON and across the entire economy than unconstitutional jab mandates.

Back to that same ole boring channel?! ;)
Let’s formulate… Sr leadership is gonna say something nice to WallSt, middle management will say something different internally to smurf up the execution because it conflicts with their personal metrics/pay, lower management will continue to pretend they are deer in the headlights. RIF and closures will be announced. They will be just like last time, and we’ll meet here to complain.

Rinse and repeat, all the way to the banks.
