The COVID shot is a vaccine, it teaches your body how to fight a particular virus.

It's not magic, it's like strength building for your immune system.

It's a good thing we're not fighting smallpox this time, because half of us would already be gone.

Red state voters, mostly, but I don't want to see anything bad happen to them or anyone else.

Do your own research sheeple!

Gather up a few thousand volunteers, make sure you follow a strict double blind process, spend months testing and then get back to us.

Oh, wait, other people have already do that and continue to do that, and the "do your own research" people are just weirdos who don't understand how math and science and biology work.

And that's why you shouldn't marry your cousin.

Closing all my citi accounts....and opening new ones for the free points....then I'll close those too (after I use all the points).

BTW for the person comparing the Polio vaccine to the Covid/ Wuhan shot, the difference is that the Polio is a vaccine that that works while the covid shot....is not a vaccine...and is very ineffective.

Material contributions is the same as taking an experimental shot where we have no data on long term effect, thanks for playing tho!!

During WW2 women donated their silk stockings to make parachutes and there was rationing and war bonds and everyone pretty much pitched in to help America.

Now, it's all me me me me me me personal freedumb and to heck with the rest of you.

You can't say you won't get a vax and claim to be a Patriot.

Well, you can, but no one is buying it.

Hey @xhh+1dAY7KWN , the masks are to protect other people in case you have COVID.

Great that you are confident in sharing your opinion, but at least know what you're talking about.

Get your shots, wash your hands, wear a mask when needed and don't close talk and we can get back to normal--ish.

@1vvr+1dAY7KWN So in the interest of health, anything goes, even our rights. Is that it? What makes you think I am even religious? You brought it up, I did not. Maybe I am an agnostic, or an ashiest. I am trying to protect individual rights of a society as a whole, and yes, individually as well. Like both of our rights to protest, own property and other rights. Give me a break. The socialist left has always believed not to waste a crisis. Use it to control the people, tell them it is for their own good. You have bought into that from your comment. You believe that is an example of democracy. When government tells you how to live. I feel sorry for you.

Exactly, and religion belongs in quotes for them - because in reality its not a religion. It's a prime example of why religion has no place in politics.

Man you guys always have your boogeymen.

Its a democratic government's job to watch out for and take care of its own people. By the people, for the people. Besides, its MAGA crazies and most conservatives these days that are all about really controlling people. Usually under the guise of "religion" or some other veil.

@1xkl+1dAY7KWN general point made is a good one. Control freaks, DC politicians at the moment, are using covid as the vehicle to learn how best to control the population. This is a dry run on how to turn this country into a bunch of pawns to do as they command. Disguise it as a public health matter and that is good for us all. Trickery of the people is how marxist countries begin.

Serious question: how do you KNOW it isn't equivalent? There's literally zero long term data. None. 10 years from now, what will this stuff do you you? Anyone who says they know is lying.

Also, forcibly injecting things into my body isn't a 'minor annoyance'.

I am for vaccine mandates in order to get more of the population vaccinated to protect the elderly and those who’s immune systems are compromised. I also want to know that I, or a loved one, can get access to a hospital in the event of an emergency. Finally - some of the same people, who choose to not get vaccinated, are also the same people who will come to work when they are sick (cold, flu, bronchitis etc) because they have a pattern of only caring about themselves. Better to infect those around you than have to waste a couple PTO days, right?

So yes - everyone’s best protection is for all to be vaccinated. If you are strongly against it, then put your money where your mouth is and find another job.

The fact that anyone seriously advocates against protecting public health is unconscionable. But hey, Americans are all me first and the he-l with anyone else, especially followers of a certain Florida resident who encouraged that line of thinking.

The difference is that vaccine actually was highly effective and, outside the cutter incident, safe. But hey, dr-gs, they're all the same amiright?

In any event, hopefully Citi employees fight back against this immoral coercion.

In the 1960's as children my parents took us to get the NEW polio vaccine, given on a sugar cube I think it was. I am really glad they took us for the newly invented polio vaccine. Our family had a distant cousin who did actually acquire the polio disease during the 1960's. I remember our relative Candice having to come to our family events in a wheel chair. Why did she get polio? Maybe before the polio vaccine was available? Always sad for her.

Well if I do have to RTO I absolutely want to be sure everyone around me is vaccinated. I just got my booster. That said, since there's nobody I actually work with at my designated RTO location, I plan to stay masked and avoid others like the plague--literally.

Are you all just blind and hard of hearing too? Sorry to be so harsh but if you do not take the vaccine now, you may not be able alive this time next year. Your chances of dying from Covid are 20 times more.

@omn if past is precedent, the information that ends their hesitancy is when they're in the ER, being told by the doctor that they're going to be intubated and placed on a ventilator.

Per CNN:

In a post on LinkedIn, Citi's head of human resources Sara Wechter partially cited the Biden administration's vaccine order for federal contractors, noting the US government is a "large and important client" of the bank.

"We have an obligation to comply with the Executive Order issued by the White House mandating that individuals supporting government contracts be fully vaccinated — an order that would impact the vast majority of our U.S. colleagues," Wechter wrote.

WF WILL DEFINITELY FOLLOW SUIT.

@ajp+1dAY7KWN If you don't like that some have been skeptical of shots that are really new and we really don't know the possible future harm, then you can wear a mask while this all gets sorted. You may have that mask on for some time.

The Supreme Court also just ruled against a group seeking religious exemption to a vaccine mandate in Maine, so hanging your hopes on that angle isn't realistic either.

Well, yeah.

Got vaccinated to go to school. Get the "flu shot" every year which is a vaccine, maybe get the shingles vaccine, get a tetanus shot, another vaccine.

For some horrible reason we've made this about Freedumb and it's not, it's just about keeping people healthy.

Something American's should all want for each other.
