Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Was just literally FORCED by way of disciplinary action to upload my Vaxx status. Resentment is HIGH.

This whole thing is absurd. Why are we being forced back in when 1) employees are happier working from home 2) employees work longer hours and take less sick days 3) there is still an ongoing PANDEMIC and the vaccines’ effectiveness have not shown to stop transmission or catching it in the first place. 4) there is a mutation of the delta variant brewing

Vaccines prevent hospitalizations and deaths, but not long Covid according to new research. I do not want to get Covid. I have taken measures in my personal life to not get Covid. Yet now, we are being forced back into the office.

I logged in this morning and had three email reminders since Friday to update my status, all threatening disciplinary action. The disgust and contempt I feel cannot be overstated.

It is clear the vast majority would like some form of hybrid option. The fact that our desires fall on deaf ears shows exactly what type of leadership this company has. It’s not enough to say you’re a forward thinking company, you have to match the words with action.

What a reality check.

I am fully vaccinated, also received the emails about disciplinary action. I did not report vaccination status. Why? Because if they want to make sure we are safe then they should implement safety protocols for everyone, there is fully vaccinated people getting sick. I got another email yesterday saying I was out of compliance for not reporting my status and that I will receive more info. I don't know what they are planning on doing, I am not reporting a thing. I got vaccinated and that is a personal decision, a decision that shouldn't influence how corporate is protecting less those who are vaccinated and segregating those who don't want to share medical info with them. So we are going back to the office because we are better when we are physically connected with our teams, yet teams are being separated in two different buildings so if you need help from your team there is always Skype or the phone, because you can't access other buildings... yeah makes perfect sense.

I’ll be so glad when this debate is over. The words “mask and vaccine” need to be retired. The bank is probably waiting to see just how much of their workforce is unvaccinated to determine how risky it is to do a vaccine mandate versus weekly testing. They probably should have waited a few more months but then again, bonuses are coming. Let the odds be forever in all of our favors. And stop telling everyone else what they should and shouldn’t do.

Wow, people are really up in arms over a person saying they want options to WFH or RTO?

Paid shills

All the people complaining about the OP complaining are pretty funny. Seems you have all the time in the world as well to be so vitriolic.

Also, why are you all trolling boards meant to anonymously criticize your employers if you’re all so happy. Losers

So you’re vaxxed AND still complaining? Goof grief. You are a real piece of work. No one cares how you “feel” about your employer. Your mommy’s a doctor, so go move home with mommy, clearly you weren’t smart enough to become a doctor like your brothers, but you’ve got all the time in the world to post here and basically complain about nothing. I think you need psychological help tbh.

No one is forcing you to do anything. But there are consequences (as there should be) for not following the rules.

@fqj+1dB8xPfX No....not according to CNN. According to the facts and numbers. The unvaxxed will continue to die off......RTO is coming.

OP here.

Lol to all these responses saying I’m bi-----g or that I’m not busy. Top producer here, sorry.

Also, nowhere in my post did I say I was anti-vaxx. Both of my brothers are doctors as is my mother. I am also fully vaccinated.

What I am saying is that this strong arming of us back in, when the pandemic is still ongoing, regardless of vaccination status is irresponsible and really makes me think twice about how I feel about my employer.

A choice of going back in or not, is what should be done.

Many of us got the vaccine and then told the company our vaccine status, its called adulting. We have kids to feed, bills to pay, aging parents to look after. I don’t have the time or energy to sit around reading conspiracy theories about the vaccine as some of the unvaccinated people seem to ,which tells me one thing, YOU ARE NOT THAT BUSY!!!

Maybe the real reason the unvaccinated want to stay unvaccinated is because they want to WFH forever. There is a solution to the pandemic we are in, its called a vaccine, we have been vaccinating people for a long time.

Either accept the situation, adapt to the new protocols or STFU, but it is quite clear what way the WORLD is moving towards and that is being vaccinated.

It might be time for you to go bug out in your bunker since the world is pi----g you off so much and you think the vaccines are bad. I don’t want to have to work alongside crazy people like you.

I hope the bank mandates the vaccine, because its time to move on. I have so many who depend on me, i don’t have the luxury of sitting around whining and complaining all day.

I'm vaxxed and I don't care if you're unvaxxed. You do you, I do me... just like the rest of the world interacts with each other. The world owes you nothing, the bank owes you nothing. Take care of yourself with whatever choices you make.

You're not giving away a freedom by disclosing that you're unvaxxed but the bank is asking you to disclose as a part of their RTO strategy which is moving full steam ahead. If you don't disclose, there are consequences. You're not a victim.

I can guarantee you are getting fired. Your toxic sentiment is hostile and dangerous to those around you.

The bank owes you nothing. Play by their rules or don’t, but be prepared to get terminated.

Well the vaccinated resent YOU for not getting vaxxed and potentially get others sick.

FFS, we all have to work together, stop with the complaining already, if you don’t like it, LEAVE.

I don't care one way or the other. WFH or RTO but the Bank has made it clear what direction it is going.

Strange, for the last couple of weeks there have been a lot of pro-RTO posts. And they’re always simple, snarky little one liners.
