Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Supplemental Questions

Who has submitted a religious exemption and received supplemental questions from HR? Today, I received these questions - first one: “if a covid 19 developed in the future does not have fetal cell lines, would you get the vaccine? Why or why not?”

What a slap in the face. The was just one of many religious beliefs and concerns I have. This is also a ridiculous hypothetical question, and is tough to answer as it would depend on how the vaccine was developed, and if the new process violated any of my religious beliefs. I can’t believe this has come down to being interrogated.

So many du-mba-ss here that don't understand that anti-mandate is not about anti-vaxers. There are obviously many anti-mandate citizens that have had the vaxine but despise that it should be forced upon them or children. And it is hardly just "orange" supporters.
Expect more attempts to exercise mandates with continued vaccines and more... Those that don't have a problem with this vaccine may have 2nd thoughts about some future mandate for vaccine or something else.

There is an attorney in California who is helping those in California who are facing termination because of the vaccine. Contact ranuslawllc at gmail dot com and I will send you the attorneys information.

Honeywell not having the freedom to choose who they employ would be communism.

There is nothing about this that violates your freedoms. You don't have to get the vaccine. But honeywell is free to not employ you because of it. Same as someone has the freedom not to go to college and companies have the freedom to not hire them because of it.

The hypocrisy of going to the hospital with covid after putting everyone with compromised immune systems in danger makes you a really sh---y person

Seems reasonable to me. If you choose not to get vaccinated and show up sick at a Colorado hospital they now have the right to send you somewhere else.

@1rwe. Ah yes. But…. Hospitals and health care providers can and should bill for the cost to care for the mo--ns who show up sick.

You sound just like the SA Brow Shirt boss Ernst Room in Germany circa 1932. That is the same line of questioning used to force Jews to wear the Star of David. And if you actually know your history, you know what happened next.

Everyone has the right to freedom of religion or lack thereof under the U.S. Constitution. Nobody gets to tell us otherwise: not you, not Honeywell, and certainly not Gropin' Joe. If you don't like it, I'm sure that Venezuela, Cuba, and Russia would welcome you. The other option is that you can pound sand!!

@1yoj Certainly they have a list of people they don't want to see leave and people they don't care if they leave. If you don't think that the 9 block distribution list, top 10 mid 80 bottom 10 list, potential regrettable departures list and this list exist you're kidding yourself. And they all follow the same bell curve.

Ahahaha. Yoy can't believe you are being "INTERROGATED"?

It is their duty to determine if your religious beliefs are sincerely held, and if so, how to ACCOMMODATE you based on workplace safety.

You are applying for an exemption. You are saying that you, for your reasons, are different than your coworkers. And what? You are shocked that you are being asked specific questions about an exemption YOU requested?

Cmon now. Speak up to HR. Justify your religious beliefs.

"You want to pick and choose when you religious exemption applies, just like you want to pick and choose when freedom applies"

And it sounds like you want to invalidate someone's religious beliefs because someone hasn't found an organized group of like-minded individuals to spend time with once a week and publish and promote literature espousing those beliefs.

"Ahh yes, you want your freedom to not get vaccinated. But hospitals can't have the freedom to reject you when you show up with covid."

Do you want to live in that world?
Sorry, you failed to yield and caused a car crash. No hospital for you.
Sorry, you didn't tie yourself to something and fell of the ladder, no hospital for you.
Sorry, you are a complete slob and now have diabetes, blown out knees, and a heart condition. No hospital for you.
Sorry, you went skiing and broke your leg, you shouldn't have taken that risk. No hospital for you.

And you do realize that you can still get and die of Covid even with the Vax, right?

My guess is that honeywell has a short list of people that they will give exemptions to because they want to keep them and a long list of people the they won't give exemptions to because they want to get rid of them.

Weird how honeywell has the freedom to do that...

"If you were dying of covid would you also reject monoclonal antibodies for religious reasons?"
Why does a "religious reason" have to invalidate the use of MA?
What if the religious reason is an opposition to unnecessary medical procedures and a belief against taking unnecessary medical risks on the grounds that one already has antibodies?

Contrary to popular belief, a religious exemption doesn't require principals and tenants held and publicized by organized groups.

If a person didn't know, there isn't any hypocrisy. It's not like big pharma has been sitting from the roof tops that they use aborted cloned fetal cells in their research.

Some thoughts on some of the replies:
Tell them that you don't answer hypothetical questions.
Tell them you have already outlined your religious beliefs.
Money is the reason that they are doing the government's bidding. If they are in fact just doing the gov'ts bidding why would they be subject to suit?
Who is "they" that will lose big in a law suit? The companies doing the gov'ts bidding or the government?
People who use the fetal cell line for an exemption are just using an available excuse.
They are not hypocrites they just are conveniently religious.

@dha you don’t have to be a part of an organized religion to hold a sincerely held religious belief. Your personal relationship with God and your moral conscience doesn’t need to be the same as the “leader” of an organized religion.

"Makes me wonder why they are being so tough on this" : Because the HR and its legal team in Charlotte is full of ultra leftist crackpots who don't like religion. Their days on the job are numbered with every HR metric trending downward (except DoS, diversity of slate) and will use their remaining time in HON to further their social justice agenda.SBG's don't approve of these tactics
