Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I can't be indifferent

There are many who are vaccinated and think they have no reason to worry since they will not be laid off because of the jab mandate.
I still can't be indifferent because I think that the departure of people who aren't will have a huge impact on us who stay here (until further notice)?

I’m leaving because the cons of working at Honeywell far outweigh the pros. Every year it’s another con or two. I’m tired of it. This vaccine mandate was the straw that broke the camels back.

In talking to many people that are vaxxed, they support the choice to do what you want with your body. Many resentful employees are left. That doesn’t make for a very motivated workforce, particularly when they feel that since HR doesn’t value experience and effort, they have a ticket to sit on their backside as long as they got the jab. They can’t be fired.

Too early to say. People that submitted exemptions may not hear back until Dec. When it's too late to get the vaccine by the deadline. I think it will be 25% will be gone in Dec.

No point to stressing out over things that have not happened yet. And probably never will. Reality is showing us most of the noise is just noise - far less people are actually quitting when it comes right down to it.

Tirniber happens. I just hope our uptick in QNs gets lost in the tidal wave.

They sure will! The firings will affect key people in key positions, and management has said there will be no adjustment of schedules despite losing what I expect to be 10-20% of work force. Of course, when the suppliers do the same thing and parts deliveries start getting delayed, the problem will just cascade, triggering a recession or more likely a depression for the country.
