Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

Big mistake by BNYM?

Seeing lots of people with the dreaded vvv next to their names and they are officially locked out of their system. Did BNYM mistakenly eliminate access for the next round of employees on the layoff list before they were notified? Seems with the great resignation, BNYM is backpedaling in order to keep several of these employees on for the time being because of extreme staffing shortages. If you got locked out, you need to start applying for other jobs.

So many employees are resigning that they don't have to layoff. That's why they aren't even comment about it.

That’s surprising. Typically, the process involves teach employee’s manager calling Tech support after they inform the employee that they are done, and Tech handles individually.

I’ve also seen people at 240 Greenwich (f/k/a 101 Barclay) badges not working upon entry to office. Whoops good hint you’ll be leaving the building shortly ☝️

I’ve seen this happen before where the vvv thing was done a few hours before the actual layoff
