HR case for federal vaccination requirement

Has anyone that hasn't been vaccinated yet opened an HR case to check if they're included in the federal vaccination requirement?
They had mentioned it was necessary to open an HR case by 11/5 and I was wondering what the HR response was like.

70% of adults are vaccinated. 80% of new cases in are in the unvaccinated. Pretty clear...80% is coming from a pool of only 30% of the population. Thank you Darwin.

Based on what I've seen this past year and seeing the power of social media and the power of govt, I'm starting to see viewpoints of the 9/11 conspirators

Wow, so many anti-vaxxers on this thread. Do you guys also believe in flat earth, 9/11 was an inside job, and the world was created 6000 years ago? Can't believe there are so many id--ts working for Dell, but this does explain a lot.

The good thing is that with enough Covid running around, this mental issue will solve itself sooner or later. Enjoy your respirator.

To avoid the jab do you go to a boxing trainer? Or a bearded guy on social media?

We're at herd immunity with vaccinated and natural immunity. Getting everyone vaccinated is nothing more than a political checkmark for the current administration....that's all it is at this point. It is now very political. Just look at the border..they're unvaccinated and being welcomed with open arms. That should tell you all you need to know. Why do you have to get it...and they don't. Hmmm.

I was given medical exemption and should work 100% remote. Cannot meet Dell employees, customers and cannot enter Dell or customer site on Dell business. If this guidance changes, I will be notified.

Because they were remote? Or was it a medical or religious exemption?

Because 100% remote support no religious exemption.

No one is saying get covid for natural immunity dummie. But millions of Americans are already covid immune.
The fact that the 'science' deliberately ignores it is suspect.

And you still haven't explained why your vax doesn't protect YOU from the unvaccinated

In fact just a study reported by Bloomberg has the vaccinated spreading COVID just as much.

Does anyone here even phantom what the hospital bill is for a 2-3 month stay on a respirator in a Hospital ICU ward for COVID-19 is (even with the best insurance)... it's in the 30-40K range in the best case scenario. 60-140K in the worst.

Natural immunity is good, but recovering from a bout of COVID-19 to get that natural protective immunity is not a better proposition than vaccination. A lot of the US population have underlying health problems (they're overweight, many are morbidly obese, diabetic, have heart or circulatory system problems, lung, fatty liver and kidney desease). The risk of severe, long haul or death is greater if they risk getting "natural immunity"... it's like playing Russian Roulette. The safer option is vaccination which doesn't expose the health compromised to those risks.

don't forget natural immunity...you seem to have conveniently forgotten that.

@2xsf+1dDoAhTp: 'my vaccine doesn't work unless everyone gets the vaccine'

Yeah, it's called herd immunity via vaccination. At least 80% of the world population needs to be vaccinated if we're ever going to rid the world of this pandemic (remember like we did other dreadful desaeses in the past -which vaccines were also mandated- like polio, measles, mumps, rubella, smallpox, meningitis, hepatitis A-B, varicella (chickenpox), diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus -just to name a few-. Jesus your retrogrades.

... or you could just expel the absurd hypercondriatic conspiracy theories from your mind, get the proven safe -so far- vaccine just like the other 3 billion people have around the globe (who have not died from covid and also have no side effects) and you get to keep your cushy good paying job, with no worries about finding anything better in these uncertain times and/or put your families financial well-being at risk. Just a thought.

unfortunately, other employers are mandating it also so you may be limited in possibilities. You have a decision to make.

Remember: do nothing. Dell is not entitled to your medical choices. Don't make their spying on you easier

But if something happens:

File for unemployment
Wait for class action lawsuits
#1 will drive up their insurance costs

But reality is most of us will find better employers

If you ask HR questions, you will only go around in circles. I have asked many questions and my understanding is the following:
You have to (1) open a ticket and declare your unvaccinated (without an exemption) and then wait to see if your 'impacted' - in which case you may be put on unpaid leave or (2) request a medical or religious exemption and fill out a form that includes language asserting you are 100% remote, and banning you from ever setting foot on a Dell site ever again, or meeting up with coworkers - nice eh? And the exemption may not even get approved. The problem is they will not tell you if your role is 'impacted' until after submitting the form, so by the time you find out if you are impacted, you will lose your ability to request an exemption. They haven't been clear if this is a company wide mandate - or only a portion of the company is impacted.
