If suppliers delay deliveries...

The firings will affect key people in key positions, and management has said there will be no adjustment of schedules despite losing what I expect to be 10-20% of the work force. Of course, when the suppliers do the same thing and parts deliveries start getting delayed, the problem will just cascade - full post: @ryt+1dCI64B9

I just hope we avoid this horrible scenario if deliveries from suppliers start to get more and more late?

Meanwhile I am tasked with telling my customers that we will miss deliveries for the foreseeable future due to part shortages.
Shortages caused by massive demand due to doubling the supply of money worldwide in just 24 months. Not covid.. just government over reaction to keep the mob happy.
Print money and worry about consequences later.

No parts.. no work...no employees needed. It is a simple equation.

The Biden administration just pushed the deadline back to January 4th, probably at the crying and whining of his large company donors, and to keep the stock market from tanking in January if those large companies had missed their earnings. So now everyone can slave through the holidays, get their 401K match, and be canned in the new year. You can bet HoneyHell will work you 24/7 in December as retaliation for your "insubordination."

Just like the NYPD, those puffing their chests will get the shots on the last possible day during their unpaid leave. It'll end up being a lot less than 10% . We needed a RIF anyway so this helps everyone's budgets and avoids laying off intelligent people getting vaccinated.

Bye Felicias!

How much of the supplier issues are HON induced? Net 120, re-negotiated terms and conditions, late or non payments not to mention reliance on single source suppliers has to affect a supplier’s performance at some point.

Keep in mind, HON’s supplier VP is ex Amazon. All they know how to do is sell other people’s inventory.

Don’t believe it.
We have much more serious supply threats that absolutely will reduce working hours in ISC going forward. Just like the auto manufacturers the parts will run out and the furloughs will start

If Honeywell has any skill set at this point, losing 10-20% of its workforce overnight is it!

The sKy is falling message yet again.

Mist of your coworkers will get vaccinated to maintain a job and keep food on the table.

Most of your suppliers are much smarter than you understand, will get vaccinated, maintain food on the table and continue to deliver product to you on time.

The business will just keep going
