Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

RTO productivity

Why is it so important to them that we go back to the office? It will be easier for me because I worked a lot more from home and I can't wait to slow down a bit. I am puzzled why would Honeywell want that too.

Because happy employees don't quit. HON figured out that by making it as miserable to work here as they can, the turnover rate increases. This way the wages stay low since they offer really low pay to start and then they don't need to pay unemployment or severance. It's a win/win for HON and it's about controlling the costs of their "most valuable asset" (rolleyes)

Arrogant, presumptuous, fool. I wasn't hired to work in an office, I was hired to be an engineer. And I'm taking over what I want, like I own the place. Because that's what it says to do int the twice behaviors. Just you hide and watch me!!

Be Honeywell does opposite of what companies are doing. I work way more at home, but they will now be getting less sue to my commute. There is no common sense in this company.

@1glo "Maybe because I have a lazy @$$ coworker that goes to the casino daily during office hours and hasn’t worked since May. People like that ruin it for everyone else."

LOL- I used to work with one of those, but it was the hotel bar not the casino. They will get caught sooner or later.

Office attendance policy is just a reflection of the old white guys who run honeywell. They and their diversity algorithm lackies seek comfort in what they know while lecturing others about vision and innovation.. but we know ... innovation is something you buy from consultants or startups right? No chance you would give domestic people the time and space to actually think.

so they can look over your shoulder, obviously. Best way to play it is constant coffee breaks, walk around the office, say hi to management, and get on their good side. while everyone else slaves away in their cubicle. you guys should have learned by now, that's how to get ahead here.
