Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Why Would Anyone Do Business With WellsFargo?

Why? Why? Why? Would anyone or business entrust their money to Wells? It's been 6 years and Wells is still broken.

"Wells is competitive on mortgage with the team member discount."

That wasn't my experience a few years back, but I'm glad you're finding it helpful.

Team members get a discount on closing cost and interest rate. Got approved for a VA loan refi at 2.75% saved me almost 400 dollars a month. Wells is competitive on mortgage with the team member discount.

Good question. I have a credit card and had a secondary checking account with WF. I wasn't using the checking account much, I was holding it in reserve thinking at some point it would be useful when I relocated to an area where they have branches but the other day I caught a fraudulent transaction against the checking account... even though I had never even activated the debit card.

I reported it, they "investigated" and removed it but why did they initially approve the charge against an inactive debit card? They did not explain that. I closed the checking account and will use some other national bank upon relo.

@uxu+1dHAp0AI I was with you until your comment about them going to jail. The Chuckster won't be with us much longer. But one moot point may be, will you and me. If Chuckie gets his way as we think he may?

I put the blame on our Board of Directors, past and present. Such a worthless bunch of overpaid do-nothings. They are who picked Charlie and are just letting him drain the bank with his ridiculous salary, the hiring of his overpaid job-hopping buddies, his crazy spending in the billions on company stock buybacks rather than improving oversite, the continuing and upcoming expense in fines due to his inability to get things done.

The past CEO’s were thieves in expensive suits. Charlie is a different type of thief who talks the talk but doesn’t want to be bothered with walking the walk. And why should he? He gets to continue to collect the big bucks while making promises he doesn’t keep and he knows our lame BOD won’t do a darn thing.

I think they should all go to jail for robbing a top 4 US Bank.

@snm is saying Charlie is just clueless, not even a crook.

As if that's somehow better.

@snm+1dHAp0AI Excuse me Charlie, but should you be in this site?

Great service and they say hello a lot in the branches. Tellers also wear masks and suits. I saw a couple of stuffed ponies in the bank named Dandy and Buck and that gave me courage to bank more.

Cos we lost our way but Charlie has us back on track

If Sloan or Stumpf were still the CEO then I would agree that no-one should do business with us. They were clueless crooks. Glad they are gone. Charlie is just cleaning up their mess

Why would I do business with WF? Because I'm not only a customer, but an employee and a shareholder.

I believe it was Stumpf who said that if the client has more than a couple bank products with Wells then the client will not move to another bank. Some of that is still in play. Of course some heads of departments took that to unscrupulous ends. We pay the price to this day.
