Those who are never cut

Many wonderful colleagues either got laid off or went to other companies because of pressure. However, those who are constantly creating a toxic workplace, they are safe. They somehow survive all the rounds. I can't explain that to myself...

I cannot fully relate as I work on a team stacked with genuine, jovial, and like-minded individuals. Focus on yourself and make a plan. Don't spend another ounce of energy thinking about who gets to hang on in spite of being "toxic" and whatever. What are you going to do to make things better for YOU?

Sadly that’s true. We had to hire people we know we’d RIF the next cut (usually March for us). You needed some fat otherwise you have to cut experienced people you couldn’t afford to lose. Then they cut our ability to hire and it all went to he-l because we have to cut valuable people. My old area is a ghost town, I hear the execs are happy though

If you hire sacrificial lambs specifically for the purpose of laying the lambs off, you can avoid a Reduction In Force by leading them to the sl------r in your place.

You will recognize the lambs because they won't have anything to work on for months at a time.
